Opinions wanted: AKV studio waitlist (Kidani or Jambo)

I got a question for you. I'm waitlisted for an early May trip for a studio at Jambo. I think there are more studios at Kidani. Correct?

Right now I am staying at SSR, but would prefer to stay at AKV as I've never stayed there and want to try something new. While I would prefer Jambo over Kidani ... overall I prefer either vs. staying at SSR.

SOOOOOO would you keep your waitlist at Jambo or switch it to Kidani at this point?

You can have two waitlists, so I would use one for Jambo and the other for Kidani.

We stayed at Kidani in May and decided that we didn't want to stay there again. Bus service was less than magical, ridiculously long hallways and it's just so far from everything, including food.

We just returned from a week long stay at Jambo House and can't wait to go back. It felt like a whole new experience. QS is just an elevator ride away. DH walked down the hall to get a paper every morning, we just enjoyed it so much more.

If you don't want to stay at SSR I would advise you to keep the waitlist at Jambo and use your 2nd one for Kidani. Kidani is truly very nice.

I've stayed at Kidani before and enjoyed my stay. However, one thing to keep in mind is that the quick service restaurant is at Jambo. If you stay at Kidani and want to get something to eat you will need to take the shuttle over from Kidani or walk it. Both Jambo(breakfast, dinner) and Kidani(lunch, dinner) have table service restaurants, but all of the restaurants with the exception of Sanaa are at Jambo. Both locations have a little store, so depending on what you want to eat you may not have an issue.

Just to let you know that if you have two wait lists, when one comes thru first, they drop you from the other. So if you want the other as your first choice, you may go at the bottom of the list. At least that's how they explained it to me. For example, when I couldn't get either BWV or BCV for the F&W, I wait listed for both. My first choice of the two was BCV. But if BWV came thru, the good news is I get an Epcot resort, but the bad news is that now if I wanted to wait list for BCV, I'd have to call and go at the bottom of the list because I wasn't on it anymore. It made perfect sense, just something that hadn't occurred to me.

Why are you waitlisted? I see availability (for last 2 weeks of Oct in a studio)...it is 10 months out? Unless you are trying for value studio and that is only at Jambo (none at Kidani). The value studio is the only one with limited availability.

I just corrected my first post. I have two short WDW stays this year and am renting points for both. I got them cross crossed in my brain! So yeah, I am on the waitlist for Jambo for early May.

I guess I will keep Jambo and hope something pops up. (The owner needs the other available waitlist). That is why I was trying to decide where I might have better luck!

In a studio, I would always prefer Jambo due to having Mara, counter service, right there!
