I am trying to decide to get hoppers or not. We have not used them in the past but I want to get the most of our vacation this year. There are 4 adults and 2 children (DS9 and DD3) using the military discount so it would only be $25.00 per ticket to upgrade to hoppers. We arrive 7/16 around 4:00 pm and leave 7/21 around 4:30 pm.

7/16 arrive and head to Epcot-EMH until midnght

7/17 DHS they close at 7 pm but MK has EMH until 2 am (Imagineer lunch at 11:30)

7/18 AK close at 7 pm but MK open until 10 pm (WCC dinner @ 7:00)

7/19 MK EMH until 1 am (don't think we would do another park this day)

7/20 Epcot EMH until midnight (don't think we would do another park this day/Akershush breakfast @ 8:15)

7/21 boys golfing at Osprey Ridge and girls going to DTD

So, that would be 2 days to possibly use the hopper and I don't know if it's worth $150.00 total. We are staying at FW cabins and I know there is lots of stuff to do there plus we could head to DTD after the park closes or just stay at cabins and swim. I am sure my DD3 will

Will the kids be awake that late for you to take advantage of the late parks when hopping?

We love to hop but then we do it to get the kids in ac during the hot part of the day and give them a time to unwind and relax a bit before the next park..

having said that.. we are on the military tickets this year and will not be hopping.. we will do mini golf and hang out at DTD..

We wouldn't dream of taking a trip WITHOUT hoppers. It's so nice to have the ability to move to another park if one is getting crowded, or to eat a meal, or to see a parade, etc.

I agree with all the above, plus is you go back to your resort to rest or nap during the busy part of the day you can hit a different park in the evening. We take advantage of both morning and evening EMH's and cannot do that without Park Hopping.

Having the hopping option breeds hopping.

Some can do without. Some can't.

If you are uncertain...don't get it now. It costs the same $50 whether you get it in advance, on the first day of your trip, or the last day of your trip.

If and when you decide that you'd like to go to a second park in one day, go to a ticket booth and upgrade the tickets then. Costs you the same. If you decide not to do it, and get through your whole trip without it, you've saved yourself some money - which is quite an accomplishment!

It depends on length of stay. When my family and I have taken shorter trips (3 or 4 days) yes we get hopper passes. When we stay a week - no. We usually follow whatever park that has extended evening hours. We NEVER go to the park that has early openings because in our experience that park is VERY crowded til around noon or so. It looks like you'll stay 6 days. So IMO I would NOT.

Forget trying to sixito it...but I agree with getting hoppers!

We always get them because we tend to do a.m. EMH, leave noon-ish to swim/nap and then hit a non-EMH park in the evening. It works for us, but everyone's different. To me, I might get frustrated with crwod levels staying in one park all day. Splitting it up keeps it more manageable for me (we go in July, so planning is a big MUST).

To me, the dining plan is a big waste of time & money but some people swear by it. Thank goodness we're all different, how boring it would be if we all liked the same stuff :thumbsup2

It looks like you want to take advantage of some of the EMHs. If that is the case and you want to hit one park in the morning and then a different one in the evening then you will want the hoppers. Of course you can wait until you get there and then upgrade.

We have had both. Our last trip was 9 days, and we did not get the hopper option. We found that we didn't really miss it on that trip, so we are going to try it without the hopper option again this year. The nice thing is you can always add the feature at anytime during your trip. :):)

Can I add it at the gat at the military special rate of $25?

I assume you are talking about the Companion Military Salute tickets...I believe you can add park hopping or WPFM at the gate ticket booths - but I believe you'll pay sales tax there. If done at Shades Of Green or an MWR office, I think you save on the tax as well.
