Same here. They have some really good sandwiches, salads, milk shakes and similar. We ate here during the Castle lighting 2 weeks ago, and we had a perfect view of it while relaxing and having a yummy dinner.
Have to agree. We ate lunch there last week and the sandwiches we had were really good. The service was excellent as well. We wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Thumbs Way Up for this one We "fell" into this hidden gem some years ago and it's became our annual meal on night 1 at WDW. It's got great sandwiches and the ice cream treats are the same ones from the shop that faces main street. We have a later meal and then hang around for a primo spot for the Castle Fireworks. I personally love the Reuben and chocolate malted a full menu will be on allears.net. I do make ressies as soon as I can, though...I think more and more folks are "finding" it.

What time were you there to get to see the lighting?? Do they light the castle and then immediately do the fireworks? We're headed there on the 19th and that would be perfect to do one night!
It's a great ts place to have a nice light lunch or dinner. Nothing too crazy but the food is consistent. We used to go all the time before kids- now they really don't want to spend the time in the MK sitting for a lunch (it's not the fastest service in the world- which used to be great prekids!).
It is table service, but lots of people don't feel they get their money's worth out of the Plaza for a TS on the DDP. Personally, I think their sandwiches are excellent as are their ice cream desserts.
We've been fans of the Plaza for some years for a pleasant lunch but the last several times the food has come out really slowly! I don't think it's the servers as they've always been great about refills, bringing the check, etc..
We went here for lunch the week after Thanksgiving. We had a reservation. It was a nice sit-down place. I was a little disappointed that the menu wasn't larger. The tomato soup was awesome!! (it was an appetizer choice on the kids menu, but my kids don't eat it, so I did). The vegetarian sandwich was great as well as the sweet potato chips. I could only eat 1/2 of the sandwich--it was very filling.
We didn't really get any dessert, although it looked great!
