opinions please

Have just booked our fourth trip, going 25th september, on site at ASMo, we're trying to sort out which things to do that we haven't done before, can I have some opinions on the following?

1, The Ice cream social
2, Donalds breakfastosaurus
3, Mickeys NSSHP
4, Ohanas, does this have a stitch character breakfast?
5, Any news on the toy story character breakfast?
6, evening entertainment along the boardwalk.

Carol, I thought the Ice Cream Social had stopped now. Certainly, I haven't seen anything on it recently.

As far as everything else on your list, I believe the new Toy Story breakfast is due to start around April/May time and will be at Mama Melrose's in MGM with Buzz, Woody and the Sergeant. I don't know much about any of the other things except Ohanas does have a Stitch Character Breakfast - never been though. As far as entertainment on the Boardwalk, I believe it is strictly for adults (don't know if this would affect you) but someone else can probably give you more info than me.

Congrats on your countdown What are your actual dates? You may well have departed by the time we arrive.

1. We did this back in 2001 and really enjoyed it. The kids spent loads of time with the characters who came round to the table lots, at one point Chip and Dale sat down and help the girls colour in oh, and the the ice creams are pretty big

2. We have done this breakfast every trip, mainly because we all love Donald Duck It's a good, fun breakfast although last time I wasn't too thrilled with the food but I think it's definitely worth trying at least once

3. MNSSHP is a must do in my opinion, we love it and again have done it every trip bar the last one, only because we didn't have enough time to fit it in. Loads and loads of kids dress up, as well as adults, and some of the costumes are a must see. Most of the rides you can ride again and again, you get bags of sweets and the headless horseman at the start of the parade should not be missed, definitely a (if you want cheap and cheerful costumes visit Walmart).

4. Only every done dinner at O'hana and we really enjoyed it, especially watching wishes from our prime seating location.

5. Don't know.

6. We had dinner at Spoodles and then spent the rest of the evening on the boardwalk. It was a really enjoyable evening. As well as the shops, you have several different entertainers and games, very pleasant.

Thanks girls, so can anyone confirm if the ice cream social is still running? will almost definately do MNSSHP, any idea on when tickets will be released?
Is the boardwalk adults only? I thought that was just PI, what about the people staying there, surely thay can't all be just adults? Think we'll definately try donalds breakfast, have read mainly good reviews and after all, the food is really a very personal opinion, some days good, some days bad etc. Is it a buffet?

As far as the boardwalk goes, I know for definite that the clubs (jellyrolls etc) are adults only. At PI, kids over 12 can go in as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

Anyone can stroll along the Boardwalk and go in the restaurants or shops, as has been said Jellyrolls is over 21's only, as is the Atlantic Dance Hall.

Carol, just did a quick search and kids are allowed in to the ESPN club on the boardwalk but, as Claire said, NOT Atlantic Dance Hall or Jellyrolls.

Carol, I think the tickets for MNSSHP usually come out either April or May, keep an eye out on Allears or of course the Dis boards, usually someone posts with the heads up

Anyone can take a stroll along the boardwalk where as I said you not only have the shops but entertainers and games of the fun fair variety, it's a very pleasant way to spend an evening with the kids

Shame they don't do the Ice Cream Social anymore. Definitely do the breakfast, food aside, it's still one of our favorites

Thanks, if anyone has any extra ideas that are not too heavy on the $$$ I'd be most grateful, have done the campfire and a wishes cruise, will definately be doing the campfire again. Callums not old enough for a segway tour so thats out, and although I'd love to do the family magic or KTTK tour, I'd sooner spend the money on extra souvies or nicer meals.

The Boardwalk is a wonderful place to spend an evening. They have lots of shops, galleries and restaurants. Eldest DS (8) loves ESPN:Zone - it is filled with televisions showing sport matches and they have very child-friendly food, at excellent prices. You could combine some time at the Boardwalk with Fantasia mini golf - it's within walking distance.

'Ohana is great for breakfast. We have only been when it was Mickey & the gang, but the food is great and the CMs are hilarious and very friendly. It's an especially great start to an MK morning.

This sounds fantastic, cant add much except to say that Vicki and I did Donalds breakfastosaurs and we loved it, buffet style breakfast with loads of choice, good character interaction as well, with Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Pluto I think it was lol. The boardwalk is wonderful for an evening/daytime stroll and stopping for a bite to eat and a drink,or you can even rent surrey bikes, which we also did, but watch out for the 2 hills, Vicki had to get off and push, while I steered well I couldnt push at my age could I? We went there last year with Karen and family and fell in love with the place, absolutly fabulous.

Lots to do there for adults and children. We spent our last holiday staying there and without exception spent a good hour or more most evenings just "hanging out" there

Things DDs liked to do:

Laugh hysterically at themselves in the "funny" mirrors (you know-the sort that make you look taller (I like those) or short and fatter (I don't like those )

Watch the entertainers that appeared somewhat randomly - they especially liked the man that cycles around playing the piano

Look at the shops - lots of stuff in one in particular!

Laugh at the people on the surrey bikes (or have a go yourself if DS is tall enough - be warned it is hard work!)

Choose some sweeties or ice cream from Seashore Sweets

Ditto cakes from the Boardwalk Bakery

DH & I just like to sit on a bench and watch all the things going on - boats toing and froing, people watching, sometimes a football game on the green. I also love to look round Wyland Galleries but could not afford to buy anything in there

The entertainment on the Boardwalk is good - you could combine that with a trip to Beaches and Cream over by the Beach club and order the kitchen sink

Sounds wonderful Karen, I'm definately going to head for the boardwalk. I agree about the mirrors but I could spend hours in front of the tall and thin ones admiring myself and Merylj, if I order a kitchen sink I'll never get to look like my mirro image! but very tempting
