Opinions please! To Mulch or Not To Mulch?

OK, I am torn....please help me make a decision.

I have a VERY shady, moist area next to the north side of my garage. It is shaded by a large maple tree on one end, and a large cherry on the other. Should I mulch?

I think no because it is very moist over there all the time and we don't really have a weed problem.

I think yes because it just looks so darn bad with all the other beds mulched.

Oy - what to do???

With a "sigh" i say yes, it will look better but I know it's more work for you....I've been spreading mulch too...and have an area I am contemplating too...think i'll do it today.

I agree with Amid, sorcerormickey.

Because you said this - "I think yes because it just looks so darn bad with all the other beds mulched." - if you don't, I think the "look" of it will always bug you.
