Am heading to WDW for 13 days on the Deluxe Dining Plan (3 meals per day). This is an adult only trip. What do you think of my choices? Good or bad? Any of these I should think twice about doing? Any restaurants that you would recommend that I don't have listed? With the DDP, I'm looking to try some places that I've never dined before.

Crystal Palace - Breakfast AWESOME! Must do for us
Crystal Palace - Dinner Awesome, the adobe pork is my favorite
50's Primetime - Dinner The best fried chicken, you can ask for an all white meat plate, they brought us 2 breasts and a wing and it was way too much for one person to eat
Spoodles - Dinner Blech in my opinion, same goes for breakfast
Le Cellier - Dinner Amazingly good filet, cut with a fork
Plaza Restaurant - Lunch Just ok sandwiches in my opinion
Cape May Café Buffet - Breakfast Our favorite breakfast on site, the yummiest bread pudding ever
Mama Melrose's - Dinner Always wanted to try it and when we did it was so bland...
Yachtsman Steakhouse - Dinner Great food, excellent service
Le Cellier - Lunch Our favorite TS lunch, the food is just so good here
Akershus Princess - Breakfast The best character interaction and the food was very good too

Keep in mind this is a difficult question to answer, because everyone's tastes are subjective. But I'll give you my opinion on a 1-3 scale 3 being the best.

My only opinion is HOLY COW THAT IS A LOT OF EATING!! Do you plan to do anything besides eat??!? LOL!!! I love to eat too!

IMHO, skip Mama Melrose and Spoodles and pick up another Signature Dining like maybe Jiko and/or do Boma for dinner! It is great! If I had this much time at WDW and this much time to eat, I would definitely do Boma for dinner. With this many credits, I would do more 2 credit options and plan less meals. Especially with adults only. You want some time to be spontaneous.

Looks like there are some good eats there! I hope you will do reviews. :)

Some of my favorites are listed there, including Mama Melrose, Kona Cafe, and YSH. HDDR is a lot of fun too.

I second this. I would pick up a few more 2 credits. I didn't see Narcoossee's on your list. The food is good and the view of MK (and Wishes) is great. On the regular DDP you are allowed lobster either whole Maine, or with a filet.

If I have a chance I will post my opinions on the others you've listed-happy eating!

I haven't tried many of the places on your list, but it looks like a good mix! One thing that jumps out at me, though - as of right now, Tokyo Dining hasn't been confirmed as participating with the dining plan for 2008, so you might want to keep an eye out for updates.

That was my opinion....WOW you will deffinately be full!!! We have a very hard time doing anything but a light lunch when doing all the big meals for both breakfast and supper. But that is just my opinion!! :)

Need to cut my vacation down from 13 days to 10 days. This will bring my credits to 27 from 36. What do you think of these?

Is Cape May Cafe buffet better at breakfast or dinner? How is the Princess breakfast in Norway? Is this ok for just an adult? How good is the breakfast at O'Hana's? Is this worth doing? What is the fastest way of getting to the Polynesian, Beach Club & Animal Kingdom Lodge for an early PS for breakfast?

DH and I are trying the DDDP next year, tho we plan to visit many signature rest. and plan only two meals aday. I told DH, NO Way I was eating 3 sitdown meals a day. That being said........I agree with OP that Narcosees is a must for us everytime we go to WDW. We are also trying JIKO and Raglan Road has ok food but great atmosphere, but still want to try it.

I also told DH I wanted one character meal, and we decided on the Cape May breakfast. Have fun and happy eating.

Hoop-Dee-Doo Review - Dinner
- I had gone as a child, and my mom insisted that I take DH when we went in August. Little did I know, being on our honeymoon, they placed us front and center! It is a cute show and the food is alright. IMO, it is one of those things you do once and then you've done it enough, although I know people that go back over and over again. I think it's worth it if you've never been.

Kona Cafe
- I have only been for breakfast, and it was great. They went out of their way to help us celebrate our honeymoon. I have never been for lunch, but every time I have been there they've had a great breakfast!

I have the deluxe plan as well, and am planning on eating at these locations. So obviously I think that these are worth trying or making return trips too. Yachtsman Steakhouse, and the character breakfasts at Ohana and Tusker House are new for me, the rest are favorites.

Nothing else on your list pops up as a stand-out to me. I would eat at Boma for dinner if I added one meal to your list. Also, since your on the deluxe plan, I'd consider doing more signature meals, like maybe Artist Point and/or Flying Fish.

The problem I have with Citrico's or Narcoossee's is that I'm a pretty picky eater. How accomadating are they with substitutions? Can I order just plain mashed potatoes? Can I get the grilled shrimp without the confit or gazpacho, but just with cocktail sauce?

I looked at the Flying Fish, but I would not eat any of the appetizer's.

I did Hoop like 14 years ago. Should I change this for Flying Fish, Narcoossee's or two 1 credit places?

I have 2 different suggestions:

1. Do Hoop Dee Do instead of Brown Derby - Brown Derby is excellent but not a great use of 2 TS credits. Its value is more like a 1 TS, IMO. Then you will have 2 credits left to go to Narcoosee's or flying Fish. I would recommend either - the surf and turf at Narcoosee's is amazing! At FF, there has to be a salad or something that could be easily modified. I'm sure both would work with you on subs, but I encourage you to try some of the dishes you ordinarily wouldn't here - both of these restaurants are top notch and great places to branch out a bit. That said, Narcoosee's is the less adventerous (though still excellent) of the two so that might be your best choice.

2. Another option is to cancel HDD and book Trail's End - it has the same food as HDD and is a cheap (for Disney) buffet. You could even pay OOP for this. It will give you the same food (and experience of going to fort wilderness) without the show and the expense of using 2 credits.

As for Ohana breakfast, I like dinner there much better. Breakfast is unremarkable (and often lukewarm). So if Stitch isn't why you are going, I'd say bag it and change to dinner (or use it to go to Trail's End from the suggestion above).

Enjoy!:thumbsup2 /you have some great choices there!
