Opinions on Wilderness Lodge pls

I think the room sizes are pretty much the same for all deluxes, the WL was certainly no smaller than the rooms we had at AKL & Yacht Club.

Actually, WL and AKL have the smallest deluxe rooms on property and would definitely have been smaller than your room at the Yacht Club.

Our favourite Deluxe is the Polynesian - beautiful theming and views, largest standard rooms on property and a great location with direct monorail access to both MK and EPCOT. GF is a close second for us and the Yacht Club comes in third. We enjoyed our stay at AKL but I found the rooms very small and dark, and didn't like the location at all.

As others have said, the best way is to look for yourself and see which ones tick the boxes. Have fun planning

We actually drove to/from AKL, I think my tolerance for journeys seem to dwindle to nil at WDW... Weird because we drove for hours and hours in California and I was fine with that, if anything I loved it. Go figure! I'm looking forward to looking around some more of the deluxes this year... I was never keen on the Contemporary before but doing the Wishes cruise and eating at CG really changed my perception and if I had to choose any of the MK resorts it'd definitely be there

Wow, thanks everyone for your input. I must admit the only thing that really puts me off WL was the thought of coming out of MK at closing and finding a queue a mile long for the boat, but as DBf pointed out, we stay at Pop where the queue at closing is 2 miles long!

I don't mind that the room is smaller than the other deluxes (Size doesn't matter I keep telling DBf ) I'm pleased to hear so many positive things about WL, and we will only do this once (Although I said that last time round too)
