So it looks like on of the best choices for a soft pillowtop bed very near the cross walk is the Carousel Inn. Those of you who have stayed there, please share your opinions.

We just got back from spending 5 nights at the Carousel and we enjoyed our stay there. I loved the bed, it was firm but with the pillow top it was really comfy. We have previously stayed at the Park Vue and found the beds there to be really hard so it was nice to have a great sleep. We were in a concierge club 2 queen room and found it to be clean and fairly spacious. These rooms are at the back of the property which makes for a bit longer walk but it was really quiet back there. We slept with our window open all night and didn't hear a thing and I am a light sleeper. Others have reported problems with housekeeping and getting towels but we had no issues at all.
The continental breakfast is just so so, but we had coupons for breakfast sandwiches from Quiznos that were included with the concierge room.
The location is really why I stay there, it is so nice to be in our room within 7 minutes of leaving the park! :)

We were very happy there in May and have booked it for our next trip. The standard room is on the small side. If you need a rollaway, consider upgrading to the bigger rooms.

We had a great stay there... Prefered it much more than Tropicanna next door and very short walk to the parks... We were near the front of the building but still very quiet... Only negatives are that parking is tight and the pool is small...

We were there in Oct. It was okay. Rooms were pretty small. DH loved the bed. We did have issues with housekeeping :sad2: and the towels were old (not ratty though), but when housekeeping did come, we had plenty.

We had a bad experience in June in one of the standard rooms - housekeeping issues (our room wasn't touched one day, other days they forgot towels) and the beds were horribly broken (as well as other issues-broken TV, ratty old towels, dirty bathtub and running, backing up toilet among other things - asked to be moved but they were unable to). I'm not telling you this to worry you but just so that you make sure to get one of the newly renovated rooms, preferably club level. We had to extend our stay for a few days so we decided to give a club level king a try and it was a night and day difference, particularly in the bed department. Very comfortable, clean, nice modern room.
