Opinions on Orlando Embassy Suites?

My husband has a bunch of Hilton points and we usually like staying in Embassy Suites. I accidently booked the on on International Drive last night.

I think I wanted the Lake Buena Vista one, but am unsure if I should switch now...I saw some bad reviews on that one.

Any experience with either one???

There's actually two on International Drive,one on Jamaican Ct. and another one about 1/2 a mile south on I- Drive.I stayed a couple of years ago in the Jamaican Ct. location and I had no problems whatsoever.

We stayed at the I Drive / Jamaican Court location in January of 09. It exceeded my expectations. I like Embassy Suites in general, but this one was clearly renovated very recently. Really nice rooms - granite and flat screen tvs. Just no problems whatsoever. Everything worked properly. Everything was clean and upscale.

I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

FYI - they put us in one of the corner suites, so it was a bit bigger than the regular ones. It was really spacious. I didn't request it or pay extra (if that's even a possibility), so maybe it's just the luck of the draw. Anyway, it was super-nice so if you could request one of those suites, I would do it. It was on the end of a row of suites - near the stairwell - I think.

Have stayed a couple of times at the Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista.
Really convenient to Disney. Gives you lots of options to get onto or out of Disney property as different times of the day makes for different traffic.
Always have gotten really nice rates and service there. Rooms have been very clean and we always loved that there is a sink and mirror outside of the bathroom too for a couple of people to get ready at the same time! If I don't stay on property or with family, that is where I stay.

We love Embassy Suites, but...what about the Homewood Suites....you would have a kitchen, meals and happy hour Mon - Thur (maybe even Sunday) nights and a great breakfast every day. Just an idea.
