Opinions on HP

Could someone please help me?!? Is the HP Photosmart R847 a good digital camera? It will be my first...we just left Bedrock and are headed for the big city. Opinions please. Thanks!!

It does not seem to be that great.

HP are not very serious about their camera division and are not known to put out award winners. It is typically better to go with someone more in the camera biz like Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Fuji, Olympus, etc. Kodak is the one exception IMO though. They are decent and easy to use, but are certainly not innovators.
