Knights Inn is generally rated dead last when Consumers readers rate hotel chains. Knights Inn is the lowest end property of Cendant, the company that features properties like Days Inn and I think Econolodge.
I stayed in one over 10 years ago, a single trip before I got married. Worse than you can imagine. Mold. Threadbare sheets. Holes in towels. Cigarette burns in the carpeting. Continental breakfast was instant coffee and stale donuts. I just grabbed coffee and a danish at 7-11 on my way to the parks.
I did a Google search and some of the Orlando area Knights Inn have had arrests for drug dealing and prostitution. At one time there was even a safety issue, the hotel was slow in adding adequate dead bolts.
It was a commando trip, I met my brothers family for rope drop and didn't drive back until after fireworks, some nights after PI.
