Opinions on going to Disney in June.

We also went early June last year. Definitely not as hot as our late July trips. However, we just seemed to always be in the wrong park at the wrong time. We've always been excellent fastpassers who seemed to stay ahead of the crowds. Our luck ran out on this trip...didn't get to ride our favorites as often as usual.

I blame myself. I planned for us to go to a park without EMH that opened at 9 in order to let the teenagers sleep a bit later. On previous trips we've usually gone to the park WITH morning EMH and we've accomplished so much in that first hour.

So, I would recommend morning EMH (little less heat too, right?:lmao:) and get out of the park after lunch and head back for a rest/swim. We did learn to become big fans of PM EMH!

Enjoy!

We've done June, too, and had a great time. Yep, it's hot. Use EMH and take afternoon pool breaks.

Due to work schedule, we are going in July this year. We're really excited about going to the water parks. The last time we were there in the summer, our kids were too little to get our money's worth of the water parks.

Thanks for the replies. If we do go, I'll make sure to utilize the EMH. When we went in May the only EMH we used was MK. The kids really needed that extra hour to sleep but sounds like June is a different story. Oh..they'll still need their rest but they'll need to get up earlier. The evening EMH we have never done but since the parks are open later in the summer months, I'm sure we would. But definitely do a rest day too...with morning EMH and evening EMH....wow could be some tired cranky kids.

Thanks again to all.

We went for the last two weeks of June this year.

We had a great time but the heat is a killer for dining.

We ended up going to the park first thing, returning to swim in the afternoon and then returning to a table service for dinner and then go to a park in the evening.

I would even suggest a really late dinner.

We also brought water and Gatorade.

We are from New York State and so we can"t go with our school age son until very late June at which time Disney gets crowded. Like everyone is saying early part of June is good. We visit late August when parks aren't so crowded but it's hot, humid, and hurricane season. Great pool weather, though. Have fun.

Sorry to be a downer, but we will never go again in June, July or August. We got there June 16th last summer and were there for a week. Super hot, super crazy rain (and I'm From oregon so rain doesn't bother me) and the lines were super long. We all decided never again! We will stick to February or October for us. Again, sorry to be a downer but that was our experience.

We were there the same time as you and had no issues. It did rain, but I only remember it being bad one of the days. Even then it didn't make us leave the park. I agree on the heat it was super hot, but we were on rides pretty quick so it wasn't a huge issue.

Our June trip last year was awesome. Crowds were definitely manageable doing rope drop, and early evening rainstorms cleared out most of the park- we rode Peter Pan, Buzz, and Space Mountain all twice in a row, no wait! A good plan is essential
