Good Morning Everyone,
Just wondering about Ft. Wilderness Lodge, I have seen a lot of positive's on this resort on this board and I made a reservation last week at CSR and was actually thinking of upgrading to WL and I was wondering if people could give me some opinions on if you think we (DH and DS) would enjoy this my DS is 2 years old or if I should just keep my ressie at CSR???? Any advice would be so greatly appreciated....the money is not really an issue I just have stayed at CSR before and really liked it and the pool for my son, however, I have read so much about WL and wondered what everyone thought of upgrading....Yes or No??? Thanks everyone, have a magical day...... :cool1: :wave2:

We will be staying at the Wilderness lodge Villas for the first time at the end of May. I have never stayed in the Wilderness lodge but have been to the resort many times and it is beautiful. We usually get a cabin in Ft Wilderness and take the boat over to eat lunch or dinner. Your 2 yr old would probably enjoy the boat ride from the Wilderness lodge to Magic kingdom. Also you have the ELectrical Water parade every night that he can watch from the beach. :flower:

Hi Kristy!

I always enjoy trying a new resort and the Wilderness Lodge(Ft. Wilderness is the campground near the lodge and has camping for RV's etc and cabins you can stay in) has a lot of good points!

It's location is completely different than Coronado Springs so that alone can be fun. I imagine your DH and 2 yr old may like taking a boat to the Magic Kingdom instead of a bus.

Another difference is the theme-ing! What appeals to you and your family more?? The Wilderness Lodge has a beautiful lobby and your actually staying in the "main" hotel as opposed to being more spread out at CRS in outlying buildings.

I believe you can't go wrong at either resort but if you can afford it and there is availability than I suggest giving the Wilderness Lodge a try!! In my opinion, I think this will leave more of an impression on DH and DS! :flower:

Happy planning and have a magical vacation whatever you decide! :wizard:

Don't confuse the Wilderness Lodge with Fort Wilderness. Geographically, they are close, but accomodation-wise, they are miles apart. It is considered a deluxe, while Coronado Springs is a moderate. The theme is about a lodge in Yellowstone, while CSR has a southwest feel. Both are very nice, differences are room size, restaurants onsite. It depends on your budget, mainly. You can't go wrong here either way.

We just got back from a stay at the Wilderness Lodge and we're very impressed. This was our first stay there, we usually stay at the Boardwalk. We found the Wilderness Lodge to be very relaxing and quite. We have yet to say at the CSR so can't compare it. If you want a relaxing, tranquel feel than you can't go wrong with the Wilderness Lodge.
