Opinions on CBR ?

Only spent one night there to take advantage of Magical Express but visited resort several times and have friends who have stayed 3 times. It felt very relaxed and I liked the pool areas. My son did 2 of the pirate cruises there and loved them. We stay at Bonnet Creek next door and occasionally when they sold English newspapers (they dont anymore) would pop over to get some breakfast. Its quite a spread out resort but very good location. I am sure there will be lots of people here who have stayed there.

We haven't stayed there as we like POR best of the mod resorts. But we have gone there a few times and I must admit that this would be 2nd choice of the mods. The food court is good, the pool area is great and there are other quiet pools. There are area's where there are hammocks and it all has a lovely relaxed feel. Yes the resort is big and spread out but you can always request an area near to the main buildings. But its not that far a walk from where ever you are as there are bridges across the water to the main area so you don't have to walk all the way around. If you resort looks like it ticks your boxes than I'd say go for it. :)

I stayed the years ago and enjoyed it. We stayed at POR in 2012 and are planning a trip in 2015, staying at CBR. The resort is quite speed out but I don't remember the walk to the centre being very long.

nice resort but very spread out.

we stayed in Pirates room, which are located in Trinidad South (farthest away from Food Court and Pool) but that was a matter of 10 minutes walking slowly (with a stroller)

Resort is nice, but food court is average.

The feature pool is rather cool with 2 slides (one very tame slide and one slide which is in the dark, can be scary for kids)
a kiddie splash zone with a third slide (ending in a "tub" not a pool)
the quiet pools (one per "village") are a cool addition.

Bus service can be slow due to the need for the bus to go around the resort

I probably would stay there again, but I would choose POR or POFQ over CBR without hesitation (even paying more for Port Orleans)

the only downside to CBR is the fact that beds are smaller than the other moderates.
They are double beds at CBR and Queen beds at the other hotels (even values)
