Opinions of Tony's Town Square

We enjoyed it. It's styled like Tony's from Lady and the Tramp and all of us got pasta. It was nothing that was absolutely spectacular, but we felt like the price was good for the food we got and had a good time.

We go to Tony's every time we go to Disney. We really like all the Lady and the Tramp stuff they have around the restaurant. The pasta is descent, the steak is good, and the tiramisu is really good. A lot of people on this forum give it negative reviews. It's not authentic Italian, but we didn't expect it to be.

Give it a try!

We love Tony's so much it has become our traditional first and last meals :yay: I always plan a lunch there since our Magic Express pick up is usually mid afternoon. Sad to leave but eating at Tony's gives me a chance for a last look at the castle

My kids request it, even though all they ever eat there are meatballs & spaghetti!

It's good, not fabulous, but the atmosphere is nice and I like the desserts. Out of 10 people, I was the only one who didn't get the meatballs - I enjoyed my Tony's Flatbread very much! ;) I refuse to order spaghetti at a restaurant, since I have to make it so often at home. :rolleyes1

It's always among the top 5 restaurants my kids ask to go to when we're making our lists for the next trip. :thumbsup2 That and Crystal Palace, and Chef Mickey's!

Tony's food is alright. It pleases our kids, so we eat there. What I love about Tony's is the atmosphere and the cast members! We've had the best wait staff there. So friendly, helpful and fun!

I have never eaten here, but plan to on our next visit. I have actually read a lot reviews of it on here and on allearsnet.com and some people compare it to Olive Garden. I personally like Olive Garden, so I think it will probably be good. I am not a food snob. I like fairly simple things. My DH will eat ANYTHING, so he never cares where we eat. My DS10 is very picky and DS4 will eat anything. So, we will be giving Tony's a try. The location cannot be beat. Great for eating dinner and then catching the evening parade.

It used to be fine for us. But the last few meals we had there, we were disappointed. Even my favourite dessert, Tiramisu, didn't seem as good anymore.:guilty:

So, we haven't been back in a long time, we usually leave MK to eat dinner at 'Ohana or another monorail resort restaurant.

We ate there a year ago after reading many not so great reviews. We LOVED it! I had a wonderful chicken dish, one of the best meals I have had at WDW. Dh and I are not red sauce fans, but there was a lot else to choose from. We hope to try it again sometime:thumbsup2

We had a great experience in Oct 09 before MNSSHP. We were seated immediately by our server Ed. Beverages were refilled when needed, the courses were times well and the food was good-not outstanding but what I expected. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the sausage had a nice flavor but the red sauce was a little sour. The portions were large on the entrees and appetizers. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and will probably return.

We ate at Tony's in December 09. We had not been to this restaurant in almost 8 years!

Our meals were plentiful and good. Not great good. The spaghetti in every dish was overcooked. My chicken parmigana was delicious and I ate that and left the spaghetti.

DS had the cheese pizza and salad and was perfectly happy. DD had the cheeseburger calzone and salad.

Our server was attentive and listened to our cues when we wished to slow down and savor the time she was very accomodating.

Hope this helps some. :)

We ate there a few days ago for the 2nd time and enjoyed it both times. I had the chicken parm and thought it was pretty good. We love the Lady and the Tramp theme and the atmosphere of being right on Main Street.

Tony's seems to be really inconsistent. The first time we ate there a few years ago, my mom's meal was really good, but mine was almost inedible. We even tried each others' meals and agreed. We couldn't believe how one meal could be so good and the other soooo bad.:rotfl: We round up sharing hers. I went back maybe 3 or 4 times after that and always had a great meal. In fact, the best steak I've ever had on WDW property I had a few years ago at Tony's. It was wonderful, as was the salmon and the amaretto cheesecake that night. Then last Sept I went again for lunch and the only thing I could eat was my frozen chocolate bombe. The fried zucchini sticks and the salmon on the salmon salad were both burnt to a crisp. I picked at the zucchini sticks, but sent probably 80% of the dish back when the salad arrived. There was no way I could possibly eat that dry black salmon, so called the waiter over and sent it back. That was the first time I've ever sent a meal back for replacement, but it was inedible. When the waiter returned a few minutes later with another salad it was almost as bad with the salmon still burnt almost completely black and very dry. I left all but one bite of the salmon and picked at the salad part.

We ate there in Nov. I was a little hesitant at first after reading reviews on here, but we were surprised. My dh had the chicken parm and I had the mushroom ravioli both were good. My 1 yr old loved the mushroom ravioli. The calamari were also good.

We did not not love or hate it. It was fine. Problem with fine is we are at Disney and want something special. If you are looking for great Italian food go to Tutto. If you want a Magic Kingdom Restaurant that your kids will love go to the Crystal Palace. If you just want to try it, go for it! Maybe YOU will love it!

I think I will take my chances and try Tony's. Nothing can be worse than the Character Lunch I had at CRT. It was the pork and it really was the most awful stuff I have ever tasted in my life. I agree with the person who said go to The Crystal Palace for a good meal. Food is very good, great characters, and beautiful surroundings.

We've always had good luck at Tony's, short wait, good service, and while not spectacular the food was good.

We liked Tony's. The food was good. Ignored my wife's birthday but I'll blame the waiter for that. My stepdaughter's desert plate had a picture of lady and the tramp drawn in chocolate. Great location in MK. But, I agree with another poster, that for children, Crystal Palace with the Pooh characters is better (unless you're already dining there). Crystal Palace also has very good buffet food with carved meats, an interesting variety of cold salads, and usual lunch stuff (pizza etc.).

We had dinner there before MVMCP in December. Calling it Olive Garden is an insult to the Olive Garden, IMHO, it was more on par with Denny's. Such a shame since it used to be much better. It is off our list for good now :sad2:

I had spaghetti and meatballs (as did DS) and DH had a fish special of the day.
