A question for all you good people! We will only be spending 2 full days at Disney. We were planning on spending both days just at the Magic Kingdom. But do you think 1 day there will be enough and we should check out another one of the parks on the 2nd day? I'm not concerned about seeing everything in the Magic Kingdom. The kids will have a great time even if they don't see that entire park. And if you think we should see one of the other parks, which one would you recommend? Our kids are ages 5 and 8.

Thanks for your input! You guys are awesome!!

What do your kids like to do? Are they into animals, shows, discovery? The AK is not really an all-day park IMO so I wouldn't do that one with only 2 days at WDW, unless your kids are really into animals.
DHS is good for the shows and characters. But really lacks 'rides' for kids.
EPCOT is very hands-on and you might have fun doing that. But it's very BIG and time consuming to walk around there so have a game plan of what you want to see.

Have fun whatever you decide to do!

I just took my niece (she was a week shy of her 5th birthday) last October. Her favorite parks, in order, were MK, Epcot, AK and DHS.

Since you only have two days I would start at MK and see how much you get done. Based on that I would then either take another day at MK or go to either Epcot or AK. We were there for 6 days and I found we really needed two full days at MK and Epcot. We did AK and DHS in a day (but we skipped quite a bit of both parks as she was too little to ride a lot of the rides).

I think it depends on the interests of your kids. You very well could use both days on mk. There are lots of rides and things to do there. It would be hard to see in two days. It just depends on your interests.

EPCOT is awesome, lots to see and do, but it is very big so yes, you might want to have a plan ahead of time what you want to see. IMO you need at least 2 days to do EPCOT right...good luck and have fun!

Your kids are the perfect age for MK, so two days at MK would be fabulous and they would be able to experience most of it. Again, like PP's suggested, it depends on their interests.

I agree it is a tough choice!! I'd maybe do just MK this time though and save the other parks for the next trip. Your kids can see everything and do a lot in one day and then make plans for what they are going to do the next day knowing what is there.

Of course the PP are right if there are interests that might be sparked at the other parks you could split it up.
