I saw a thread a few days ago and saw the price 299.00 (yikes!) Then I really started thinking about it and still am trying to decide.
DH and I will be sailing on 15th anniversary. If I book it, I want to try to surprise him, but that's not the issue. I'm a fan of convenience if the price is reasonable. Not waiting in line for Palo/Spa ressies is VERY tempting. DH, on the other hand, would rather stand in line if it'll save $$. Don't get me wrong, he's not by any means a tightwad. (He wants to buy us anniversary his/hers Rolex watches in St. Thomas on this cruise!) His reasoning is 'you could upgrade your watch for that 299.00 escape package,' and I see his point. However, the escape package sounds soooo neat. (What a surprise!) The other drawbacks? He told me I could book a massage, but he doesn't want one. (He'd rather spend the at sea days doing activities, plus he's not a fan of massages.) Also, the champagne breakfast..neither of us imbibe during the daytime. We'd enjoy champagne better w/our dinner or later at night. (uh-oh, the more I read over this, the more I'm talking myself out of it.) I guess my questions are..
Was it worth it to those of you who booked it?
Will they let us make Palo ressies for brunch instead of dinner?
Would they give us a bottle of champagne in lieu of at breakfast?
Also, does this have to paid off w/the rest of our cruise package, or can it be added on to our bill before we disembark? (I'd thought of paying secretly in advance, but don't want it on our itemized statement.) We booked through DCL.
I probably won't book it, but I'm concerned about not getting Palo brunch/spa ressies.
We want to be on first DCL bus from airport.
Thanks
