Opinions About Re-doing CL Status

I don't think it would be a good idea for CLs to have too many special priveledges, like being able to ban people. VMK would get so many applications from people who just wanted the power and didn't have the responsibility to handle it. They probably have already gotten too many applications like that, with so many people thinking CLs get free stuff and all...

I can see how VMK was possibly burnt by the CL status of one of the current members. With how much trust some players put into the status given by VMK to the title, it could be interpreted that they are acting in Disneys best interest and on Disneys behalf. That would put their actions on the same level as Disneys and they could be held jointly liable for any adverse actions taken by a rogue Leader.
Again, just my speculation as to what could be a very large corporate liability.

I've always thought that CL's need some form of training. And no offense but if the purpose of CL's is to aid players and keep us safe, I think thats best done in the hands of our older players.

And who on vmk has not made some sort of mistake. Why cant you be a cl if you were banned. No one is perfect, we all make mistakes no matter what our position in the world....um take President Clinton for instance.

Personally, I would like to see CLs be temporary. Maybe a 30 day thing. They should NOT have the right to boot, nor a special help button. Some training would be nice, yes, but remember, cl's are NOT paid staff. They shouldn't have any special privileges in the game. They are only there to answer questions and try to help newbies, and I think that should remain the same.

I think this is a great idea! and I'm thrilled about the CL switch up
