During park opening on a non EE week day I have two tasks: get returns for A&E meet and greet and ride Peter Pan. Which should I do first? Should we try to do both? Would like to ride PP, but not looking forward to a 40 minute wait wit a 2yo and 7mo. Suggestions?

Are you the only adult? In a perfect world, I would send one adult on ahead to get the A&E FP and then meet you at PP. My kids are older now but that's what we always did when they were little and couldn't move fast.

If two adults this is the best way to do it. When we go in December the plan is for us to go on, dh takes tickets and sprints to get the fastpasses, the rest of us will probably head straight to PP. He'll probably get there the same time we do!

Going with the hubs, hopefully he won't mind splitting. Should the solo person go for FP's or PP? How do they join the PP line? I don't want to start the day on a negative note by being a line cutter. Isn't that frowned upon?

PP is a hard line to meet up with family because its so narrow. I would make a commitment to be at the parks EARLY and be one of the first families on the ride, and be done within the first 15 minutes of park opening. Then send one adult to run and get the fastpasses.

Yes, they are.

If you can be one of the first on PP go for it, otherwise suck up the half hour wait for PP or risk missing Anna and Elsa

Anyone do the FP recently or know how long they're lasting? We're going to EE the next day, I guess we can always go for them the next day if we miss it the first day. I just really wanted to get the Fantasyland stuff done day 1.
When going to PP should we go straight through the castle or to the path on the right?

Most would say straight thru the castle. More importantly, be right at the rope for rope drop if you don't want to be waiting for PP. I would not recommend anyone that is a FP runner try to "catch up" to your party in the PP line. It's way too tight and will piss people off.

Does PP get to a 30 minute wait as quickly on an EE morning?

Where exactly is the fast pass for Anna & Elsa? Do they allow fast passes on EE mornings too? TIA

My point with the FP runner is that dh can probably run ahead, get the FP, and then meet us by the time I manage to get 5 kids to the PP line. I can't sprint to PP as fast as dh could run to the FP spot.

Yep. We literally split up as soon as we're through the gates. (Although in our family I'm the runner -- DH has a terrible sense of direction!)

I would def be the runner, too. DH has no patience for trying to find something. That being said, will I have to start queuing up as soon as gates open, or will we have time to mill about Main Sreet as a family?

No, probably no time for milling. Here's what I tell people: your first two hours are your golden time. If you're into rides, you need to ride as many things as possible in those two hours. By 11 a.m., the place will be packed (almost always). So I always tell my guests that we'll go back to Main Street after 11 and do plenty of milling.

But only you can decide what's the priority for your family. (Also, this is somewhat dependent on when you're going to be there -- weekday when?)

Wednesday, December 10 and Thursday the 11th, with and an almost 3 yo and 7 mo, looking for a relaxed pace

Definitely have one person get your A&E FP and then meet up with them in line at Peter Pan.

The best place to meet up with them is directly under the Peter Pan marque. You can see the sign on the tower part of the queue roof. Here is the image...

There will be a chain that you will have to go over and maybe a trash can that you can move to the side.

I certainly do not agree with the idea of hopping chains, moving trash cans, or in any way altering the structure of a queue.

I would read through this thread for more information on how the Frozen M&G works recently.

One issue to consider - those in one of the very first groups to the M&G are not given return tickets, but line up immediately to enter the cottage. In this case, the runner could ask to be given return tickets as an exception to the usual procedure.

Another option to consider (and this strategy may not work b/c you have a really little one) is to not use your morning for PP at all. You could use your EE to get A&E fp and then ride the other Fantasyland rides. Then in the evening, be in the back of Fantasyland for the fireworks show. They close most Fantasyland rides a bit before the fireworks and rope off everything between the carousel and the back of the castle. There is typically a CM there by the rope (on the Mr. Toad's side) who is starting a line for PP. That line will be held at the rope all the way through the fireworks (which you can still see a good deal of while waiting) and then for a bit afterwords as the fire marshals make sure there are no burning embers around the base of the castle. They then take down the rope and walk the line over to PP and you can be one of the first to ride it as it opens back up.

We used this strategy for PP once also. There is some waiting involved but it's not quite so bad when you have some fireworks to look at. And I found I really prefer to ride the dark rides in the evening because I think you can see them in much more detail since your eyes do not have to adjust to the dark as they do when you ride during daylight hours.
