Opinion on a Hypothetical question

I have a completely hypothetical question somewhat based on hazy reality.

We are going Feb.13 through Feb. 17 2011. Yep, 2011. I have been reading UK rumors about the dining plan and about pin codes that may come up during that time period. Apparently it is thought that Value Season will end on Feb 18 to get ready for the President's week holiday season.

We are 4 adults (actually one 11 year old who will be charges as an adult) and 1 child. We always get two value resort rooms that we hope will connect.

Here is the question as my brain simply doesn't work in this way to figure it out. Based on past free dining and pin codes during the Value Season prior to Presidents Day week-what would be a better deal for us?

-Free dining on the regular DPP

-possible 40% pin code

Yes, I know it is all completely up in the air right now and nothing is set and pin codes are completely random and it could be for less then 40%. But I have gotten a pin code almost every year for the summer but we are unable to go then. And I know Free Dining may not be announced until the last minute. But once the info comes out I need to book asap even if I book for one discount and the other comes out later I can always change the reservation right?

In other words, I need help in being prepared as much as possible.

So all of you who are not math challenged or have done this kind of pre-planning can you please take pity on my and help me out with this one?

Okay, based on the info.

A value room might be $82 /92 non-preferred for your trip. 40% off puts you in the $50ish range. Savings of $30ish per room.

2 Adult dining plans are $39.99 each IF they do free regular dining. You would be far better w/ free food if you plan on doing the dining plan regardless. IF they do free Quick service you would have to pay the upgrade fee of $10 per adult for the regular plan.

IF you plan to do the dining plan and stay at a value resort free food is USUALLY much better than the 40% off pin code.

It is all so up in the air right now price-wise. I get the DPP because it is very convenient. I give the entire trip as a gift. Not worrying about food budget on either end (guest or me) is a huge relief and lets everyone relax.

But I don't have unlimited funds by any means so I worry about it until I am confirmed.
