My trip with my fiance will be Aug. 31-Sept. 10th. So will will be there for 10 nights 11 days. I've already paid for hotels and tickets so I won't have to worry about that. All we would be spending money on is food, souvenirs, and some of the other attractions in orlanod, ie...wonderworks,titanic....etc. I understand everyones different so to specify even more usually we order pizza or chinese food. We are eating victoria and alberts on the 8th so i know i'll be spending $250 that night..Being that said and taking this stuff into consideration do you think $4000 will cover my trip. I'm trying to budget out the best I can and it should cover what I see but I wanted to get you input...thanx

Depends, but you should be able to get by on less than that. If you do have $4000 after hotel and tickets you should be more than fine!

Our trips for two adults usually cost us about $2500. This includes hotel, airfare, passes, food... the works. We stay onsite at a Value resort, don't rent a car, and usually eat at least one table service meal a day. However, we only do WDW and don't make any side trips to Universal, etc. Our upcoming 10 day, 9 night trip is shaping up to be about this much.

Unfortunately, if they haven't taken advantage of the Free Dining Plan, they cannot switch onto it now.

However, they perhaps could pay for the Dining Plan, if they're staying at a Disney resort. That would run about $760. Add $250+ for V&As, and they're still only around $1000, before they go off-property. It seems to me that $4000 would be between three and four times as much money as you actually need, so the differential is how much other stuff do you want to do, and how much souvenirs do you want to buy. Only you can answer that question.

Of course, if you don't qualify to pay for the Dining Plan, then count on perhaps 10% more paying OOP, though if you skip a TS meal one day because you're doing V&As, paying OOP for the rest of your meals may not be that much more than the Dining Plan.

No free dining.....I'm staying at the courtyard marriott in the marriott village. With all you said I don't think I should have any problems covering the trip with this amount..thanx for you input

Just $250 for V&A? This sounds wrong, unless it is for one person with wine.

It's probably more for V&A...I've never been. When I called to make my ADR the lately said it would be $100 per person...so i just guesstimated $200 for dinner and $50 for tip and wine...Probably will be more expensive though..no worries...

Ah, yes, I forgot it would be too late to switch on the free dining. Not that it matters as your staying off site anyways.

Cool. Some of the reviews include courses and wine selections. Some people listed prices and they may include the wine along with the meal. Maybe they'll help sustain you while you're waiting. I hope you have a wonderful time.

Well my fiance was going through one of many orlando magazines and apparently there is a titanic replication. They replicated everything from inside staircases and have artifacts from the ship. We're both big nerds and enjoy that kind of thing...i'm excited.

Just a tip if you're looking for a relatively cheap, but VERY good disney meal - try Earl of Sandwich at Downtown Disney. $5 for an awesome sandwich or salad. The selection is great and the quality is outstanding. Sometimes I have a hard time believing there's something this good at Disney for this cheap. Seriously. I'm waiting for the day they wake up and realize they're out of the ordinary and raise all their prices...

Also, Yakatori House (the smaller building that sits above the Koi fish pond) at the Japan Pavalion has some good, cheap Japanese food. Around $6 or $7 per plate.

Yeah, no problem. Eating cheap at Disney isn't easy, but it's possible.

Also, you mentioned you like Chinese Food...the The Lotus Blossom Café in the China pavilion is pretty cheap too, and they sell typical Chinese take-out type food. Try the ginger ice cream!

titanic...very cool...but we dont rent a car when we go to disney...and we have a free day...but will probably want to spend it at the parks anyway...oh well...its a good back up plan should be get tired of WDW (BUT I DOUT THAT!!!)
