Operation FOURTH! a July PTR - June 24th, shopping errands and lists!

WL is a beautiful resort. I especially love the "face" that shows in lights at night. So cool. Tons of fun things to explore for the boys. I agree with you on the main pool and the lounge chairs... when I stayed there I thought the same thing.

I cannot wait to try those crab nachos at BZ in May. I've forgotten about them every other time I've eaten there but this time I told my personal assistant, Siri, to remind me at check-in time. Hope she doesn't let me down.

Your July plans sound great. I :lovestruc The Plaza but have to confess that I did not know you could eat outdoors. I thought those were just decorative tables for "spillage" from the Bakery or other counter service. :confused3

Wow, the 2 bedroom looks huge! What a treat to be in one. WL is a bit dim all around, which is the decor and is very northwest. Will all that space though I think it will feel cozy and lovely! I'd definitely go for tees for the boys, they might melt otherwise!

Love the Plaza. I didn't know you could eat outside either, they always seemed to be spillover tables that weren't well used. Seems hot though in July to eat outside, we tend to do it anytime we can but in that heat, I''m not so sure.

ONE week!!!!!!!!!

YES, I can't wait to sample those nachos in a WEEK!!!! Face?? what face?? I want to sit on one of the rockers outside the lobby and enjoy the view!!

ONE week!!!!!!!!!

I remember the unit being quite large back in 2005, so I think it will be great to have the space for certain! YES, I am leaning towards the shirts. I have a 15.00 coupon for the Disney Store. SO with each shirt at $20.00 ($40.00) and the discount, the total is only $25.00 for both (plus shipping). So $15.00 each... basically... and I guess tax... BUT they have other cool pirate shirts, for a few $$ less, which they might like better and maybe actually wear more than once ... so I have to really think about it... If I bought them next week with my AP discount it wouldn't be as good of a deal.

Well, you are BOTH probably right!!! Maybe I am the miss-informed one!!! LOL!!!! :rotfl: I just assumed those tables were reserved for the restaurant !!!! Now I will confess we sat outside and ate icecream there one afternoon during the winter, but I thought it was just available b/c the restaurant was under rennovation!! So it must have been my mistake!!! Our ressie is at 7:30, so not in the heat of the day. But I trust you guys know what you are talking about regarding the tables, and you are probably right! I was thinking outside would be nice in the evening, since we have often sat outside Casey's for fireworks, and outside Pecos Bills... BUT if those are not Plaza tables, well, then it doesn't much matter!!!

Pirate's League is so much fun!
My nephews picked out that t-shirt at the PL in August. They didn't want one of the more elaborate costumes, probably because of the heat. It's a great summer alternative to a costume.

When I stayed in a 2BR at VWL is was a lock-off right on the corner of the building so the 1BR part was positioned in one direction and the studio around the corner. I did not face the pool, but rather just faced all pine trees out the MBR and LR. The studio had a bit of an MK view because we were on the 5th floor. The decor is rather like staying in a log cabin. It's a little dark, but once I understood that the decor was supposed to be in line with what was going on in the early 1800's. Apparently, this was a big time for train travel and people were heading west. Because it was so difficult to transport furnishings it was very common for people to have odd pieces of furniture that they picked up and dropped off along the way. This explains why everything has the same "theme", but doesnt quite match.

Okay, you have clearly been on the tour !!!! :goodvibes I noticed that whole decor theme as well, and I like it, very lodge-like. SO that makes sense! Thank you for sharing your photos and info about the corner unit... I will have to ask about that. We were not in a corner unit before, but I remember parking lot, and I don't want that... I have the new Unofficial Guide, and they give suggestions for actual villa room #s to request, so I will probably research this!

I think your plans for your first day at VWL sound great. I love LTT lunch - I LOVE the tricorner sandwich and I'm also a big fan of the Plaza! Sounds fun. Not so sure about the boys costumes since it will probably be stinking hot.

Thanks!! I think so too... it is a great sandwich, I agree! AND I just thought I wanted to try a few new places, and I have always been curious about the Plaza. of course it might feel redundant, so I may change to Qservice in the end. Not sure. But I have the reservation for now, in case... I am SECRETLY hoping that the new part of fantasyland will be open, and I heard there is a quick service possible TS in the evening that will be open, so if it is, that is where we will be going! :thumbsup2 I think it is Belle's castle? Not sure. Going to go back and research!

OH the crowds wont be too terrible if you know where to be on the right day! And it will be hot, sure, but that is summer in Florida!

Thanks for reading along, and hope you end up having a great vacation no matter when you go!!!! A summer trip to Disney no matter when, and certainly for the first one, is always worth it! How exciting!!!

That 2 br villa is HUGE!!!

YES! I agree! I think I'll be requesting a corner unit!!! LOL!!! :thumbsup2

I hope we don't overload our Siri's while we are there and she has a breakdown....thankfully Melissa has hers too!!!
Can't wait for the Serenity's (yes plural :rotfl2:) One of my all time favorite drinks!! And I am excited to try the crab nachos too....although I love the shrimp over grits starter too....oh well both it will be

Weirdly I have never been to FW!! :rolleyes1 I think we are going to make a stop at the bar there in May and I will have a look around then ;)

So excited for you that your cruise is coming right up. Enjoy your time at the pool on Saturday relaxing with the music and surroundings.

I think without a doubt the Capt Jack coat will be way too heavy for July! What about making a pirates costume out of old pants and t-shirts. You could make them all ripped up and scallywag looking.

We have a dedicated 2br in June. I wonder how they compare to the lock-off?

Have a wonderful time at Disney and on your cruise!!! Looking forward to the stories afterwards!

The Wilderness Lodge sounds like the perfect place for lots of family fun this summer, and the boys are sure to make wonderful pirates!

On the Dream! Got my gold lanyard:yay: lol! Its the small things! DOD in hand #2 :laughing:see you ib a few days!

So awesome to have a gold lanyard! I won't have one in forever!!!
I can see that you are already having a fabulous time! Keep up the good work....

Don't know how I missed this!! Hope you have a great trip!!!!!!
