Operation Big Thunder: the Dole Whip Conspiracy COMPLETE

IMG_4691.jpg

Found that welcome mat in a Pawleys Island gift shop and I couldn't resist using it here.

Am I first?

Great intros! I can't believe how the boys have grown since I met them last year. :sad2:

I know this will be a fun report...yours always are. I'll probably skip the games (too much going on with medical issues with family that I'm not always quick to read updates and I doubt you'll have much done before I leave in 46 days).

:welcome: Kathy! You are indeed first. And don't remind me about the boys. I keep telling all of them to stop growing, but they won't listen.

I'm just glad you'll be reading along. The games are absolutely meaningless and just a cheap stunt to draw in readers (don't tell anybody else), so skipping them is never an issue. :thumbsup2

I'm in....

Tell me the "map to the nearest donut shop" was a lie!

:rotfl2:

:welcome: Scott! And I would never lie about donuts. I actually did research where the bakery was.

Ohhhhh the fiorst page :cool1:

:welcome:

Joining in! Great introduction!

:welcome: And thanks!

As opposed to sniffing the trip report?:confused3

I tried to present the Trip Report in Smell-O-Vision, but didn't have the budget. You wouldn't have wanted to read the South of the Border part that way, anyway.

I'm not a mathematician. How many do we need to have a pattern?

I don't know. Multiply by pi and see what you get.

Mmmm...pie....

Didn't you read my last comment? I may have to unsubscribe if these shenanigans keep up.

You mean you guys actually subscribe to this crap? :confused3

Could have used a "Double Secret" vacation as well.

I can't keep track. Too many secrets.

Q has set you up right. How does it handle at mach speeds? Mine pulls a little to the right. But that could also be my co-pilot digging her fingernails into my right arm in terror.

We get a bit of a shimmy once we break the sound barrier. And the Check Engine light comes on, but I've been ignoring that for years.

I'd say the one in this chapter was your age, but then again, who really knows what that is. :confused3

I like to think of myself as a timeless classic.

Been waiting to glitter-bomb you for weeks!

Present and why doesn't the app allow you to click through?

:welcome: Pat! As far as your question goes: :confused3

:rotfl2: Nice try.

The Duck is onboard :thumbsup2

:welcome: David!

Yep…
I am crawling up the walls board, so I’ll sign on to this one.

:welcome: Rob! You must be bored if you stumbled in here.

Oh who am I kidding…
I’ve been looking forward to his one since before y’all even left Delaware.

party::

:thumbsup2

Yeaaah, another TR for CP!! :cheer2:

Welcome Camille.

What is CP? :confused3

Curse their above average intelligence!

::yes::

Curse our average intelligence!

::yes::::yes::

Oh, and Hi honey! :wave2: :welcome:

Yeah, first time back in the classroom in 10 years....my posts and insight might not be as many as before.....

On the plus side, you're replenishing the Disney fund much faster.

Remember that height....it will come back to haunt poor Heinrich later....

Oh, and uh, spoiler alert. :sad2:

DUDE! Where have you been hiding the espresso machine?!

You don't need any more caffeine, young lady.

Good job remembering it this time, honey.

Ha ha.

Much as I love your little reindeer games, I think I'm going to exclude myself from this contest.....seeing as how I was there and know how it REALLY played out.

I don't know. Sometimes your version is different from mine.

She gotcha, hon!! (Good one, Kathy!)

Yeah, apparently you're not the only non-mathematician of the bunch.....

Skipping over that subject in the classroom, are we?

CANNOT wait to read more...especially about the surprise! You are quite the story teller so far!

:welcome: Woohoo! New reader! Thanks for joining in!

I'm here! Too bad I won't be able to make an appearance in the actual report............... :sad1:

:welcome: Marv! I'm sorry we missed you too. But your son's deployment was slighly more important than meeting some weirdo from the DIS.

:welcome: Paul!

Count me in... will get caught up later... Can't wait to hear about your trip Mark.

:welcome: Brian!

Im in!!! Eventhough I do not get to star in an episode like last summer!:thumbsup2

:welcome: Steve! Your presence will be missed. Now the readers will have to put up with more of me.

:cheer2: Woo hoo! I can tell already that this is going to be GREAAAAAAAAAT! :cheer2:

:welcome: Mary Ellen! Thanks, I guess I can stop writing now!

But where are the cheesy puffs? :confused3

Ah, you are sharp-eyed. No cheese balls on this road trip. We had them on a long weekend trip to Vermont in June and decided to take a cheese ball break for this trip. We went with Pop chips, which we discovered at Costco a few months ago and are extremely addictive.

Sounds great. Looking forward to the report.

:welcome: Thanks for reading!

We surprised our twins last year on our trip to Disneyland Paris.
Managed to drive within sight of the castle before they worked out where they were !
Then surprised them by meeting 3 of their friends in the park. Even managed to surprise my wife by booking us into the Disneyland Hotel rather than the one I had told her about.
Disney + Surprises = Magic

Agreed! That sounds like it was a wonderful trip. Nice touch with the hotel, too! I'm sure that earned some major bonus points with her.

You had me with the title alone! Now I can't wait to hear how everything played out!!

:welcome: Me too! Wait a minute...:rotfl2:

That has to be a lie, nobody's a Phillies fan these days. I mean they won't even throw a kid a ball! :lmao:

:welcome: Randall! Hey, they eventually threw a ball. :rotfl:

And if you knew the Phils' history prior to 2008, you'd know that no one would fake being a Phillies fan.

Great intro can't wait to follow along!

:welcome: and thanks!

Mission Impossible. Too obvious? ANy points?

It may have been obvious, but it is indeed a movie quote! You are on the board!

+1 :thumbsup2

And :welcome: Doc!

No ion cannon?

It really hurt my gas mileage.

Cool, a report to read!

I picked up on the MI reference as well. As for the lie, got nothing. Maybe the part about making something up in each chapter.

:welcome: Darcy! If that were a lie, that would mean every chapter is the truth, and the game itself is a lie, except for the first chapter, which would contain a lie, and not the truth. I need to sit down.

Here! Be back later after my mission of....

Washing dishes.

:welcome: Tim! Since you posted this over 12 hours ago, that must be the worst dish-washing session of all time. :lmao:

Checking in :thumbsup2

:welcome: to my fellow Delaweenie! :thumbsup2

I think I'm lost. Wandered here from the DisDads thread. Is this where we run up our post count? :confused3

:welcome: Mike! Here is as good a place as any.

Mark! What a great introduction!! I can't wait to read more!! :thumbsup2

Thanks Camille!

Love the introduction. A secret when you point the car south? I will guess you actually do quite well since the distractions seems to work

Well, I am hoping that being oblivious is genetic.

Well... if I'm not going to start my own TR then I might as well be entertained by someone else! :lmao: Nice intro, Mark :thumbsup2

:welcome: Don! I'm glad you're here, maybe you can deflect some of the insults that would normally be directed at me. :thumbsup2

I've seen you on other TRs, love the title and premise of this report so... I'm in! Can't wait to hear how this operation turned out in the end! :mickeyjum

:welcome: Thanks for reading along!

Ok.....I'm officially hooked. I'm in. :)

:welcome: Don't worry, I'll bore you the rest of the way.

After that intro I'm in too. :wave2:

:welcome: It's all downhill from here!

You have a hard enough time finishing one, my friend. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Perfect! Thanks Don! :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

I'm in...even if you are a family of Phillies fans......;)

:welcome: ...I think. :rotfl:

That was a fantastic introduction and I am very excited that we get a new TR from you!! :cool1:

Oh and I had to laugh about Scotty's "title" - my father's first name is Heinrich... :goodvibes

:welcome: Magdalene! Glad you're here!

Cool! I have proudly given Scotty a fake name after your father!

...Maybe it's best not to tell your father about this. :rotfl:

I've been looking forward to this TR!

:welcome: Andy! That makes one of us. :rotfl2:

I don't want to have to call this a lie, but I keep hearing about this pie. I think some proof of awesomeness needs to be shared with your readers.:rolleyes1

Ok, but you have to come here to get it. Otherwise, more for me!

Unless you borrowed Barry's van, that's definitely a lie. :rotfl2:

Nice! I thought that was pretty obvious, but nobody chose to call me out on it.

+1 :thumbsup2

Which voice did you use more?

Vader. We'd been using Homer Simpson for a while, and I got Vader especially for this trip, just to change things up. He didn't disappoint.

I don't see cheese balls anywhere in that list.

Good eyes. We changed things up a bit here. I think everyone was a little sick of cheese balls from our Vermont trip the previous month.

I'm ready for more!!

:welcome: You mean I actually have to produce something?

Congratulations on your return to the classroom. (or I'm sorry, whichever is more appropriate)

She's excited to be back doing something she loves. I'm excited for the vacation fund! :woohoo:

Joining in

:welcome: Thanks for reading!

Love the intro! Sounds like a great trip. I'm in!

:welcome: Spoiler alert: we had a great trip!

Hey... I'll have you know that I have zero "open" TRs! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Really? That can't be possible, can it? :confused3

Subbing.

We surprised our kids who were 3 and 6 at the time and it was a LOT of work! The 6 year old was just starting to read so we had secret meetings after they were asleep, which at the end included packing in secret in the basement! This time they are helping to plan ;)

We know you put these games in to give Marv something to look forward too.

:welcome: You're not kidding about the work! Julie actually made t-shirts for the family (you'll see them later in the report). She was up dying them late at night just to avoid detection.

Also, I'm terrible at keeping secrets, so that made this even more difficult. Especially when we got our tickets in the mail.

We know you put these games in to give Marv something to look forward too.

::yes::
