My daughter's SIXTH birthday is Wednesday, and we are celebrating by going to 1900 Park Fare. I have never been there before, and booked on the advice of these boards! :thumbsup2 Anyway, I am trying to figure out the present situation. Do you think it would be too awkward and tacky to have her open up presents at dinner? Should we wait until later? What's your advice and experience? Thanks!

Not at all! We had my dd's 6th birthday there too, and there were 2 other little girls actually having a birthday party at the table next to us! While we were waiting to be seated, she and all of her friends were waiting as well, and all of them had presents for her. My dd had a couple to open, but we had Grandpa and a couple of aunts traveling with us who just bought her anything she wanted the whole trip by saying "Well, it's her birthday!" Don't think anything of it, she'll have a wonderful birthday dinner!

Do it! We are celebrating my princess: DD 7 birthday there at breakfast (our first breakfast there bu not first meal) on 9-19 and then we will be leaving WDW to fly home. I'm not planning on giving her anything big then, but I'll probably have a few small things for her to open that a.m.

If I get everything ready before we leave, I'll have her presents ready and waiting for her when we get home that evening-our flight arrives about 6:30 p.m. She gets to celebrate her :bday: on 2 coasts, and it'll be 3 hours longer! :thumbsup2

thanks for your replies...it was a huge help! we can't wait for Wednesday! :yay:
