What does everyone do for their opening page to your Disney album?? Do you include pictures or just do a general page with your dates etc? Anyone want to share your opening page layout???

Thanks!
Ashley

I usually make that our travel page. The album I'm working on now, the opening page will be titled something like Road Trip, with pics I took when we told the boys we were going (in the van, after we picked DS up from school) and pics from the road. The last WDW album I did, I didn't have any travelling pictures, so I used a pic from the bus stop taken right after we arrived.

The best title page I have done so far had a title, a group photo (4x6 or 5x7), and a journaling box with who, what, where.

All my other title pages were nothing special so I'd love to hear what others do too!

For our 2004 opening page I did a photo of my DDs (then 6 & 4) with their suitcase waiting for the limo to come get us with the caption "Off to WDW".

For the 2008 trip I just did a detailed schedule page with some Disney embellishments and Disney paper.

Let me see if I can get them scanned and I'll post.

I am curious about this too....Warning, I might steal some of your ideas...Is that called Scraplifting?;)

I would love to see what others do too. Theres no way were getting a group shot so I need others ideas.

I have done several different types of opening pages.

In one I put a pic of my son and his buddy standing by the WDW sign, it was a 5x7 print, matted 2 or 3 x and then the dates below that.

Another time....

I cut out a Mickey Head in the center of the page, added the trip info around it and had a photo from the next layout peaking through.

I have also done travel pics on the opening page....

its a toss up. Sometimes I love em', sometimes not.

Currently I am doing a Switzerland/Germany 4 day whirlwind trip and the opening page is still blank. I don't have a clue what to do with it. :)

For our last family trip I took a picture of DS, then 18 months, sleeping in his Mickey jammies the night before we left. I scrapped it with the T'was The Night Before Disney poem. It was a great start to the album.

That sounds adorable!!

For my DLRP one I did a single 7x5 group photo with names and dates, for my last WDW I printed out our itinerary (you know, Monday MK, tuesday AK etc) and put tickets and stuff round the edge.

I make an 8x10 of my favorite photo from the trip (or 2 - 5x7). Usually a photopass photo. Here is the first page of our first trip to WDW with our boys! Boy are they little:

Here are the two Disney ones I have so far that I can share.

This one was virtually identical for both kids' books, so here is one....

I did sort of "opposites" for the kids' books this time... so here is both of them....

Wish I could give full credit for the ideas.... they are modified versions of things I have seen on www.twopeasinabucket.com. I am pleased with the ways all of them turned out. And these are "real" pages, not digital.... everything done with paper, photos, craft knife, etc.................P

What do you do for the back page? I hate doing single page layouts and doing just The End seems so stupid.

Thanks for the page ideas!!!! I have 2 trips to create opening pages for so this will help. Normally I do travel pages...my Disneyland album I did my maps/times guide/ticket for my opening page.

Normally for the last page so far has been a going home/airport page for me except for one time I did 1 page character layout and just ended it with that.

Back page is usually a pic of the sunset from the plane, or the back of the kids.
Saying See ya Real Soon. Or, til we meet again. That kind of stuff.

On DD's singleton trip I had a pic of a gorgeous sunset from the plane. I had done an ABC album for her so the last page just said a prefect end to a perfect trip.

My first page is pictures of they way we told the kids about the trip. We've gone three times and every time we told them in a different way so I started the scrapbooks with those pics.

For my last album, the final page was a shot of DH, DS, and I looking out into the lagoon at Epcot. My MIL took it of our backs and we were all wearing our ears. I put the classic..."Now its time to say good-bye" lines. The very last page of the book was a pocket page of all the maps. Those will be fun to look at in 20 years! :thumbsup2
