Opening Night of Jollywood or EPCOT?

Hi All,

If you had ONLY one adult day to spend in the parks for your trip would you choose to do Opening Night of Jollywood or EPCOT, my favorite park? Thoughts?

Last year I did the opening night of Jollywood. I would not do that again. Even if they have fixed all the issues opening nights are jammed packed with bloggers.

A little late since Jollywood is sold out now, but I am planning to go the Wednesday after opening night, and two Epcot Days probably to either side. I'm like you, and Epcot is my favorite park by far, but I do think it is possible to do a shortened day at Epcot, maybe starting around 10AM/11AM, with a sit down meal, at Epcot or somewhere along the Boardwalk, between for a break before Jollywood Nights, and then go over to Hollywood Studios for Jollywood Nights. I definitely wouldn't try to rope drop Epcot and then do Jollywood Nights, since you'd have to pace yourself with this approach.

As of this morning there are tickets for Nov. 9th the opening night. But the question is what are you wanting to do. Attending Jollywood nights and even MVMCP is all about what you want to accomplish. Some people go for the entertainment, or shorter lines for rides, or the food and drinks, or a combination of all three. There are special entertainment and options available at Jollywood nights that you will not get at EPCOT. But as the previous post says the first night is always full of bloggers and can be a bit crowded. One issue I don't think Disney took care of is that most of the entertainment for Jollywood nights is outside, so if it rains as it did opening night last year, that might cause cancellation of a lot of the entertainment. EPCOT does offer more inside options if it does rain.

I'd do both: EPCOT during the day and then head to DHS for Jollywood at 7:30 p.m. Why choose? Park Hop.

So what did you choose? I would have voted Epcot also, but it is moot now!
