Has anyone ever been selected to throw the pixie dust after the opening song to the magic kingdom? If so, how do you get selected.

I think the problem was spelling rather than translation: "but" is really spelled "butt".

I asked a similar question the other day--sounds like it's as much luck getting chosen, as anything else. But being there early enough to be near the front, and being friendly enough to chat with CMs, both help.

Our kids were chosen to open the MK on a trip. It was by total chance!! We we're there early for a CRT breakfast and asked us at the last minute. Our kids chose a magical phrase and some other kids at the other end of the turnstiles got to chose a phrase and they opened the other end of the turnstiles. They gave each of our kids a special certificate and wand saying they opened they Magic Kingdom that day. The things that are special are spontaneous.... enjoy them as they come!!!

That's really cool that your kids were chosen I agree that the fact that is totally spontaneous makes it even more special to those that are picked

Just wanted to throw out an FYI to those that have not been to MK recently... your experience is the old park opening. For the new park opening they chose a family, drive them to Toon Town in the Fire Truck where they board the Steam Train and they are brought up to Main Street with all the Characters during the morning show and they open the park from the train station it is quite a performance if you have not seen it Just keep in mind that it is not done on Magic Mornings, but the other days of the week the Morning show is performed at the Main Street Train Station around 8:45am
