I have just been on the Walt Disney and Universal Web sites so that I could see the opening times from 27th Sept - 11 October. Apart from weekends at Disney, the rest of the time it states that they close at about 1800 and some of the ones at Universal say 1700/1730. Is this right? I have never been when they close that early.

Thanks

Shirley

Unfortunately this is probably right.

It is considered off peak season so the parks close early....probably a cost cutting exercise.

However we still have to pay full price........shame they dont sell off peak season passes for the reduced hours!!

My advice is to get to the parks for them opening (I think thats my mantra) then at night make the most of what else orlando has to offer, or go round Epcot as it shuts latest.

Hi Shirley,

Part of the reason for the earlier closing time is that both Disney and Universal start to run their respective Halloween parties from early October. This extra events need an hour or so for regular guests to vacate the parks before they open up again for the night.

On the plus side, crowds are pretty light during the day and you should find most attractions have very short lines.
