Opening Day for Cars Land

Hi Guys! I am planning on visiting Disneyland on Friday, June 15th (Opening Day for Cars Land). We are a family of 4 from AZ that will be staying with family in Huntington Beach that weekend. My kids are 2 1/2 years old so we are going to focus our attention this trip at Disneyland only in lieu of park hopping.

What are your predictions for crowd levels at Disneyland that day? Do you think with the opening of Cars Land that everyone will want to be at DCA that day instead? I know this is a busy time of year regardless but I was just hoping to get lucky, ha ha!

In particular I would be worried about suface street traffic and getting into the parking lots since you are driving from HB.

In DL I doubt it will be crazy at all just regular to busy as many people will be stuck in the lines at Cars Land and also on the Matterhorn.

Good Point, I will definitely keep that into consideration and maybe try and get to the parking garage at least an hour before park opening.

My suggestion is plan on up to a 3 hour drive from HB in the morning and if leaving at either park closing, about a 3 hour drive back. The drive times may prove to be longer, but that is a best guess based on recent history.

I agree. The thing is with something like this you can't be early and beat the crowds. Tons of people are going to be early too. There is going to be people showing up at night to start getting in line for the opening the next morning. Go early because it's going to take so much longer to get off the freeway and to the gates.
