Opening Date for Soarin Announced

Okay - I just called Disney and spoke with someone in IT in regards to the app not showing FPs available. They said that the communication was sent in error and that the FPs would not be opening today, nor could she tell me when. They are working on the problem and I still feel like I need to stalk the site in case their corrective action is to make them available. Just to clarify she did not know what the corrective action would be.

Just had a similar conversation on the phone with a CM. Announcement of FPs going live today was a mistake. No estimated date for them to go live at this point.

Well, now I'm annoyed that I stayed up until 2 am and have been checking for fastpasses all day. I wish they would at least address this on the Parks blog. Thanks to everyone who has asked the CM's. (Of course, who even knows if the CM's know what they are talking about! LOL)

Now that I got the Soarin FP+, it will be interesting to see how they tier things, etc. for the Frozen Ever After attraction and Anna & Elsa FP+ that is opening in June.

So, is the old Soarin' still opening earlier? Or are they just holding off until the 17th?

No Soarin' FP available for my dates between June 4-12. I thought maybe they would have them up for the old film.

Pretty excited, changed some park days around and we're set to go Soarin' around the world.

I was hoping so, too, but nothing is coming up for our May 26-June 3 trip. In fact, when I try to change my Test Track, it only shows me Tier II choices--it's like Tier I doesn't even exist. I can't change the Test Track time (not that I want to, I want to trade it out for Soarin'--old movie is fine for this trip) and I can't pick any other Tier I choice to replace it.

I'll be down in WDW as a CM this summer, so I won't be able to book a FP in advance for this one (assuming they'll be gone). If I wanted to see it opening day with a reasonable wait, how early do you think I'd have to get to the park gates? 2 hours before? Even more?
