Opening Date for Country Inn & Suites?

Does anyone know the anticipated opening date for the new Country Inn & Suites in Cape Canaveral?

Have to say I am interested in knowing as well. We might stay there in 2006 instead of the Radisson. We have to keep this thread alive meandmad. When it opens it would be nice to have a fella diser out there post pictures too. We are going down in September and I try to find out more and maybe get a few pictures of what is going on.

I loved the Radisson, but we are a group of 12 going, and this may be a pre-cruise option for us.

I just called the number that was listed on the main Country Inn and Suites website. They are expecting to open this December. Good to know!

Oh, thanks so much for the info, Tarheel Girl!!! Hopefully there won't be any snags and our family can stay there in Jan 2006. Surely they'll be competitive with the existing properties. I just wonder when they'll start accepting ressies.

I am hoping since Country Inn and Radisson are owned by the same company, that they might also offer a shuttle to the port.

Ok, you guys are cracking me up here. Yes I live in NC. AActually in Winston-Salem. Yes home of the Dec's. DH and DS are die hard Tarheel fans. DD is a Wake fan and I love to rock the boat and just tick my whole family off and "say" I am going to pull for who ever either team is playing against. While growing up I was a die hard Wolfpack fan. Cousin went there and I adored her. Went to college in Raleigh also. However, if I had to chose it would be a TarHeel fan.

I had pm'd Shirley the other day asking about if she knew any scoop about the Motel 6 since there are no available dates from April 15th on. Even when I called, the girl said there were no available dates for June 2006!!!!

Shirley mentioned there are 2 new ones opening, and that the rates were suppose to be moderate.

If they will be opening in Dec., I wonder when you can start making ressies?

The prices at Cocoa Beach have really taken off, so we are looking for quantity of days vs. the best hotel.

Right now we are looking into Comfort Inn (quoted $90 but can not book for another few weeks) and Doubletree (quoted at $120, this oceanfront!, we can book in a few days)
