A consulant with our company told me today that one of our clients is having trouble understanding a concept because he is "old and stuck in his ways". I asked him how old the client was and he said "in his mid forties"!

I don't think he realized that I am almost 42.

This consultant is in his late 20's. I wonder if he knows how soon he will qualify as "old" by his own standards.

*smack* from another 42 year old.

Sorry to chuckle, hound, but this was funny. Are you set in your ways at your advanced age?

Chuckle away NT. At my advanced age I'll soon be too deaf to hear you. :p As for being set in my ways, I would say no, but Mandy might disagree (LOL).

Wow if that is old than 30 is the "NEW" Over the hill age!!!

The key may be the part about "...stuck in his ways". My sense is that profit minded companies are looking to make changes to continue to survive. Anyone who does not embrace change is on the verge of extinction in corporate America. Irrespective of age, those who are willing to try something different--especially if it's the part of an action plan of a company. That does not excuse the faux pas of the consultant insinuating someone is "old".

Sheesh, can you tell I was in a long meeting today?:o
