Open Mike Night - Everyone is Welcome

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

your little bunny looks so sad in the pic.:guilty:

Yes, well, I am the very meanest of Moms, you know. :thumbsup2 I made this poor child attend a Princess Storybook Breakfast WITHOUT her plush Bambi. It's a long story.... I will likely tell all at some point in my ongoing trip report. Or the National Enquirer. Not sure yet.

Great. Now Bobby Trendy is on Hannity and Colmes. Bobby Trendy. What can this guy add?

Good night BabyN. I think people like you because of the baby deal. They like me because everybody loves lawyers. Uhh, nevermind. I will tell you someday. It's a good one. Booze, girls and police. Perfect.

...I was thinking bout a little white tank top sitting right there in the middle by me
I was thinking about a long kiss, man, just gotta get going where the night might lead
Well I know what I was feeling, But What was I thinking?....

By the county line the cops were nipping on our heels
Pulled off the road kicked it to 4 wheel
Shut off the lights, tore through a corn field
What was I thinking?

Oh I knew thered be Hell to pay,
But that crossed my mind a little too late!...

And she gave a come and get me grin,
And like a bullet we were gone again..
What was I thinking?

song freak, remember.

Good night!:cloud9:

Well, last night I decided on the Maclaren Twin Rally. I ordered it last night. 219, no tax, on shipping, it comes with rain cover! Sweet! The Combi did push better once we unlocked the middle wheel :rotfl: but, it didn't feel sturdy at all! Very shaky and I think that Mac turned better. So, that's it. My stroller buying days are past.

DH is home today, no work. Thankfully they did 2 house this week, which is almost as much as 40 hours on regular pay. Maybe I can get DH to take us to home depot for my lime green mickeys heads. Need to do a little grocery shopping too..and it's my house cleaning day..

PONGO - That picture is SOOOOO AWESOME! I am sorry you have so much snow, but you gotta understand how cool that is. Being born and raised in south florida, I've never seen snow.

The nurse at the DR. yesterday was arguing with me about homeschooling. I told her I would never put my kids in the public schools here. She said,"there not so bad" Ummm. Yes they are. The only thing they do in school is math and reading to pass those stupid state tests.

My med. side effects: Dry mouth, dry eyes, inability to sweat, vomiting, dizziness, blurred vision, sleepiness, not being able to sleep, headache, rapid heart beat...

Thanks for not leaving me 20 pages last night!!! 7 was plenty!

I didn't get home from my meeting until midnight. I was able to catch up on a few pages in the car, but had to go back to see Pongo's snow photo after reading MommyPoppins post above.

Holy Cow, PONGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's a LOT of snow.

Don't think we've ever had that much snow here. STAY WARM!!!

Catch you all later -- off to work, but I'm leaving a bit early today.

I watched Survivor last night on UTube. (what a cool invention that is) I thought it was OK, nothing great but still OK. The haves vs. the have nots. Seems to be right up our alley Lil G.

Good morning! What a great day not to be puking your guts up. Cause that is what I was doing last night....

First of all let me set the stage: The washing machine is broken. The Ghostbusters arrive today between 1-4. Also a realtor arrives at 1 to see my cute little house with freshly steamed clean carpets.

Long story short: Little Man was sick all over 3 floors, the recliner and my bed- getting every sheet, blanket, pillowcase and comforter- in some sort of sick kid triple crown. Then in the middle of the night I was violently ill causing me to lose sleep and generally feel miserable.

Little Man is doing better today- keeping down water and cheerios.

Well, hmmm. How to brighten your day? Let me think. I did just leave you a TU on the riddle thread.

Whoohoo! That will brighten my day! I am too weak and tired to do the riddle today. And my answer got stolen.

BabyNurse- Can't wait to get to know you more.... looks like we have a lot in common.

Bunnysmum- Aww. She is adorable even when post princess meltdown. I love cute kid stories. And meltdown stories. And getting arrested stories.

MommyP- Nice to have a stroller. Sounds like you got a great deal. So is the med for IBS or your gall bladder?

Lil G- Glad you are back! You and WT go together like peas and carrots.... or something. It just wasn't the same without you.

Hey Moo and Marita!

A Twinkie cowpoke, how cute!!
Sorry for your offensively vomit filled night.:guilty:
My FAVORITE thing in the world is doing loads of "sick" laundry at 3 a.m.:sad2:

Boy you guys chatted late last night.

I watched Survivor too. Weird will they change camps everytime they win? Or is it like you said Wheat Thins, Haves against the have nots.

MommyP --glad you finally got a stroller. So did they say what you have yet?

Pongo-- I am glad that is not us. I remember when lived up north we got snow like that. Stay warm. What better then staying in a cuddling with hubby.

Bunny -- cute pic. We love hearing kids stories good or bad.

Babynurse-- If you are on the smile thread you would have come across my niece Ariel Princess Fan. I got her addicted on the Dis with the Big Brother thread.

Twinkie-- Poor little one. Can't you reschedule the realtor? Feel better.

Twinkie, honey! Poor babies, all of y'all. My Bunny is still home from school, sick. No more throw-ups, thank heaven, but still hasn't eaten anything substantial, or wanted anything besides crackers and ice water. Big hugs to you, girl. (I'm loving Twinkie the Kid!)

Oh, and Twinkie, UMa says I should ask you about the "Manna from Heaven" story. I'm dying to hear it! I'll share another of mine if you'll tell!;) Puh-leeeeeeze?

Hiya NAB, yeah, I guess some of us were pretty chatty last night. I think I have a touch of cabin fever, having been home with a sick little Bunny the past few days.

The nurse at the DR. yesterday was arguing with me about homeschooling. I told her I would never put my kids in the public schools here. She said,"there not so bad" Ummm. Yes they are. The only thing they do in school is math and reading to pass those stupid state tests.
MP, I'd homeschool, too, if I could. Being the sold wage-earner in my single parent home, this is unfortunately out of the question, I'm afraid. However, as a person who is employed by the public schools, I can definitely see the day where I'll be wanting Bunny out of them. And ours is certainly better than most.

However, (and I realize I am rather conservative) I just don't see the wisdom in having a gymnasium full of impressionable kindergarten and first graders watching "SpongeBob" when it's too cold for them to play outside! (And that is just one example of my reasons for concern.) Are you telling me there was NOTHING else available for them to watch but SpongeBob? Good grief! Call me on my cell phone and I'll rush something, anything else over! I just don't get how we can do all the "Peacebuilder" award and assemblies and such, and then show SpongeBob????

Okay, I'm being summoned to an "art show" in the kitchen, so I gotta go.

Twinkie? You havent been on wish. The stomach flu is a great diet! (looking for the bright side)

Moo is the Incredible Shrinking Woman :woohoo:

We have gainers, losers, and samers. This week, I'm a gainer. Dangit!

well I was actually taking a shower and left my darling twins (age 4) and their baby brother (16 months) and the little girl I babysit (also 4) sitting in their jammies (we had a slumber party last night) eating cheerios on the couch watching the Doodlebops..... and this is the sight I a see upon reentering the living room

IMG_0375.jpg

notice the wall to wall cheerios... actually they are strewn through the entire house (except my room because the door was closed)... the pictures do not capture the entire enormity of the situation

when asked what in Sam Hill was going on they replied
"we are playing Moses... first we have to be asleep and then we have to gather the manna and this (points to floor) is the manna"
so while I get an F for sanitation and supervision I should at least get a B for religious education, right?

off to vacuum.... feel free to laugh at me or with me or whatever....

Thanks for all the well wishes! The girls are at school. Little Man is napping. I am drinking Gatorade -its got electrolytes! (only funny if you saw Idiocracy).

I am waiting for the famous Maytag repairperson. I took a nap this morning and now I feel halfway human. I did reschedule the realtor for Monday. Gives me more time to clean and declutter.

Uma- I was gone for a week and when I came back I just wasn't in the mood to be good. I didn't want bring everyone on the wish thread down. I was going to rejoin this am- and due to the miracle of the flu I am back to my goal weight. :woohoo: I will head over there to cheer on everyone and to keep me on the straight and narrow.

Ok! I posted the manna story! I need to be entertained so step up to the open mic and tell me story.... (I would put the popcorn smilie here but I am still feeling )

Twinkie, I laughed my patootie off at the manna story with pics! Great visuals. I especially loved the little legs running amok admidst the "manna". :lmao:

Oh my yes, I give you at least a B for religious education!

Okay, I promised you a story in return, and here it is. If you've already read the latest installment of my trip report, and recognize this as a repeater, and thus feel cheated, let me know, and I'll gladly post another.

Bunny one night asked me point blank if it was true that I chopped up spinach and put it in her spaghetti sauce. I admitted that it was true, but that this shouldn't bother her, because she has always loved my spaghetti sauce. :confused3

Well, the next day she hands me this note, allegedly from her first grade teacher:

"Dear Mrs. Bunnysmum,

Your kid is allercic to spinag. We had that at school today.

She is.

Sined,

Linda Bunnysteacher"

Wish I had the scanner working so I could post a pic of this ingenious bit of forgery, but alas, no such luck today.
