Open Mike Night - Everyone is Welcome

Good thought Pumba. What is YOUR lucky number and why. Mine is 138. I always play the First track, Third Race, Eighth Horse. $5 across the board. Win, Place Show.

Wheat Thins

Finally we find the answer to the mysterious "number 138."

Ours lucky number is 14. DH was born on a 14th, as was I, we were engaged on Valentines day, married 11/14. Also, 7 is the "perfect number" so it says in the Bible, signifying completeness, so we are twice 7 = 14, doubly perfect! :rotfl2:

Mornin' All

Haley - :scratchin :tiptoe: :teleport: :hyper2: :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Marita - thanks for the link to the pic's. It looks wonderful!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone else - have a great day and keep warm.

Good morning everyone! :yay: It's Friday!

Thanks for all the well wishes for our trip, have fun here so I have something to read when I get back....

Wheat Thins my lucky number is 8 everything good that happened to me all landed on a day with an 8.

twinkle, twinkle , lil' nab, wonder where you ladies are? :thumbsup2
it's so exciting...i hope you guys meet up and "shared" one of the
million dreams...pixiedust:

if by chance chosen for the castle, post a pic.!:cloud9:

ha!, nabby..i know all about the wt. limit and being in the middle
of the airport, throwing junk from case to another...:rolleyes1 ,
and everyone in my family disappearing..hey, the airports are
great for people watching. :hippie: ,i just hate being the
target... .

we've been watching the news for the repos's cruises...popcorn::
that crazy site for the eastern repo...is already 200 pages long...
and it isn't even offical yet...glad we have a dreams girl from our
earlier cruises...she's great!

i guess our lucky # was 8. all of jerseys added up to it. like
53, 35, 62, 80, so forth....by accident. i say any number winning
$$$, is lucky. once we had 4 number on the 6 # draw...it was
left in our camper at the lake..for over 10mos..

what would do if you won a million? would you tell your friends?
or post it?

my younger bro., had a neat job in college...he provided escort
service to the "stars" doing concerts....included showing them around
town. he has quite the collection of autographs. he too jw50, in the
air force...trained shuttle crews in the 80's...he always got their autographs,
including the teacher. i could have/should have kicked myself for not
getting frankie signature..on something! he wasn't "in" during the time,
and was trying to make "tracks"...i used to go up and down a-1a all
the time. {sabinsterian- (sp.), inlet was such a neat area}..he took me
to his house...i still remember what i told him.."you have neighbors
right beside you..where's the iron gates & body guards?"..he :lmao:
he picked me up cos i looked military..which i was!..it's been a very
long time..but i think it was jupiter, fla...or satellite beach...there
was alot of construction going on..right down the same road.

isn't it funny how someone can "pop" in your life and have an experience.
that's jimmy h., he was wiser than he looked. well, i guess that's one
thing one can say we have in common. i'm irish! we already put out a
few "paddy day" stuff...who's the green people here?

:scared1: ..hope that wasn't anything to shockin...? just killin :hourglass

almost forgot...to offer my services to twinkle or nabbyg...i would
make a good "porter" ...and i don't take up much room, and i been
meaning to go on a diet????

anyone seen the site about good marriage stories?..well, my
wife and me> lil' & her> ,been thru thick and
{wheat-:lmao: } thins...and still  !

kids during star wars week???:yay:

Hi. Lil G. The boys are good. My baby just turned 2. :guilty: The Mommy is tired.

So, now we are thinking about moving to the Ocala area when our lease is up in Oct. Pretty much if DH can get a job there, making enough for us to live on, then we will. We can actually afford to live there. Plus it's so pretty there. Not like Florida at all. And it's less than 1 1/2 hours to Disney.

Just a new lucky number. It is used when I go to the races. First track, third race, eighth horse. Works every time. Did you like that new law?

Wheat Thins

oh reeeeally? :rolleyes1 I'd say that "8" is MY lucky number. I win everytime with that little ditty! Next time we (DH & I) go to Wendover on a date we'll have to play your lucky numbers! Mama needs a new pair of shoes!

Hoya all. Drive-by lunch posting!!

I would probably faint as soon as the elevator opened up to Cinderella's Royal Suite. WOW!!
princess:

I will TRY to type this in a un-excited manner. My DH was just offered a job at Delta Airlines (part part time)which would allow us to FLY free again!!!!

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! That is the one really hard expense, airline tickets times 6!

"Hello, POP Century? Yes, I'd like to book 2 adjoining rooms please?"

Keep your fingers crossed!

Pumba, congrats to your granddaughter, I bet you are one proud Grandma!

Twinkie, hope you get to stop by before you leave.

And now for a little Friday afternoon entertainment:

HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHO TO MARRY? (written by kids)

You got to find somebody who likes the same stuff.
Like, if you like sports, she should like it that you
like sports, and she should keep the chips and dip
coming.
-- Alan, age 10

No person really decides before they grow up who
they're going to marry. God decides it all way before,
and you get to find out later who you're stuck with.
-- Kristen, age 10

WHAT IS THE RIGHT AGE TO GET MAR RIED? /SPAN
Twenty-three is the best age because you know the
person FOREVER by then.
-- Camille, age 10

HOW CAN A STRANGER TELL IF TWO PEOPLE ARE MARRIED?
You might have to guess, based on whether they seem to
be yelling at the same kids.
-- Derrick, age 8

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR MOM AND DAD HAVE IN COMMON?
Both don't want any more kids.
-- Lori, age 8

WHAT DO MOST PEOPLE DO ON A DATE?
Dates are for having fun, and people should use them
to get to know each other. Even boys have something to
say if you listen long enough.
-- Lynnette, age 8 (isn't she a treasure)

On the first date, they just tell each o ther lies and
that Usually gets them interested enough to go for a
second date.
-- Martin, age 10

WHAT WOULD YOU DO ON A FIRST DATE THAT WAS TURNING
SOUR?
I'd run home and play dead. The next day I would call
all the newspapers and make sure they wrote about me
in all the dead columns.
-- Craig, age 9

WHEN IS IT OKAY TO KISS SOMEONE?
When they're rich.
-- Pam, age 7

The law says you have to be eighteen, so I wouldn't
want to mess with that.
- - Curt, age 7

The rule goes like this: If you kiss someone, then you
should marry them and have kids with them. It's the
right thing to do.
-- Howard, age 8

IS IT BETTER TO BE SINGLE OR MARRIED?
It's better for girls to be single but not for boys.
Boys need someone to clean up after them.
-- Anita, age 9 (bless you child)
T
HOW WOULD THE WORLD BE DIFFERENT IF PEOPLE DIDN'T GET
MARRIED?
There sure would be a lot of kids to explain, wouldn't
there?
-- Kelvin, age 8

And the #1 Favorite is........

HOW WOULD YOU MAKE A MARRIAGE WORK?
Tell your wife that she looks pretty, even if she
looks like a truck.

-- Ricky, age 10

From and article in today's paper:

... The survey also found that 84 percent of workers aren't currently in their dream job.

More than 6,000 respondents ranked the qualities they sought most from employment. The results were released Thursday at Walt Disney World during Disney's "Year of a Million Dreams" media event.

As part of the announcement, Disney said it would offer five one-day "dream jobs" in a competition to be held in conjunction with CareerBuilder. The survey found that 57 percent of U.S. workers thought it would be fun to work at a Disney theme park.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old, and willing to submit an online resume by Feb. 20 at careerbuilder.com/disney dreamjobs. The public will select five finalists for each of five dream jobs, and winners will receive a trip to Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif., in June.

The jobs include a Jungle Cruise skipper, a Haunted Mansion butler or maid, an apprentice pirate, a Fantasyland princess-in-waiting or a Disney park parade performer.

"This is an opportunity to have a once-in-a-day dream," Disney Worldwide Operations President Al Weiss said.

Disney spokesman Duncan Wardle said the contest should enhance awareness of employment opportunities at the theme parks
