We are watching home movies of our last trip to Disneyland. DS7 was barely 2 and it was back when he was still good. DS8 was SOOOO chubby and cute and my DS17 was this skinny 12 year old kid who was at the all knees and elbows stage and he still had his "boy" voice (as opposed to his "man" voice).

DH had a clean shaven face (like the beard) and I was... YOUNG. Geeez, I let myself go.

I can't remember which post had the photo, but you posted a pic of your DH wearing a hat, and I thought he looked sort of like Walker - Texas Ranger. I hope you'll both think that's a good thing.

I didnt save any hot dogs, sorry!
However, when I am in germany, I always brown my brotchen (like a chicago roll, only better) with a fork over a gas flame, and eat it with Fleischwurst, which is like ring bologna (only better).

Too bad I don't have a gas flame at home. I really like gas for cooking.

I found a place at Disneyland's California Adventure that does those hand dipped corn dawgs. OHhhhh myyyyyy gawwwwwsh! I've been doing my research like I said I wasn't going to do any research. See how I am?

We got a DIRT cheap room at the Holiday Inn RIGHT THERE. DH sister (DSIL) got it for us at the emplyee friends and family rate, and KIDS EAT FREE. Oh Heavenly words to my cheap ears.

This is my Pre Trip Report. GOOD, eh?

That sounds good (so do the Triscuits and cheddar). Browing rolls isn't nearly as messy as browning greasy hot dogs, but I'll claim sisterhood. You'll be the neat sister, and I'll be the messy one!

Speaking of browning hot dogs: When I was married to #2 (the marriage from &%^*$^) I came home one night and found the smoke alarm screaming. Nutso was boiling hot dogs in oil! I asked him what on earth he was doing and he told me he thought that's how I cooked them! Apparently he had glimpsed my final process. We had an electric stove, so I used to put a tiny bit of oil in a pan and roll the hot dogs around fast to brown them a bit.

Deep-fried hot dogs, ARGH!!!

Oh, the dirt cheap room quote reminded me, the Poly and Contemporary both got upgraded by AAA from 3 to 4 diamond rating!
The tricky part is, the really prestigious rating is from Mobil, the "star" rating. But who ever really looks at Mobil for ratings?

I'm sitting here having a good laugh about all the hot dog stories, especially boiling them in OIL, Kay!!!

My mom used to slit them insert some cheese, then wrap them with partially cooked bacon and put them under the broiler. Talk about heart attack on a plate!!!

No wonder I am overweight All the bad habits I learned when I was young (not that I ever fix those cheesy bacon-wrapped hotdogs). And my mom was pretty skinny. Sure wish I had her bird legs and flat bum.

alot of people have never had a red hot dog.......those are excellent and snap when you bite them...but over a camp fire .....OH YAHHHH

My mom was transferred to a rehab unit and then they are waiting for a bed for her in the assisted living home..
My mil had a procedure done today and is still asleep......then she will go to the rehab unit for the rest of her time with antibiotics on IV......
If they are in the same rehab .....we wont have to be jumping between two places for a bit......
