Open Mike Night - Everyone is Welcome Part 3

E-mail sent to DD requesting the pppy pics! We'll see if she reads her e-mail today. At any rate, we'll be calling her tonight to see how things are going . . .

I'm off to help a friend/co-worker make bouquets for her office's administrative assistants for Administrative Professionals Week (previously known as Secretaries Week/Day). I also have to pick up some cards for the ones in my office to circulate tomorrow.

See you later!

Must be a nice day because it is DED today!
Enjoy this nice spring day everyone.

I am not getting to enjoy this beautiful day - grrr. I've spent 2 hours online with Symantec support, trying to resolve an activation issue with my daughter's laptop. Why can they not keep track - why do I have to keep repeating the error and steps taken to resolve the issue?

Hi Poly,

I finally got most of my house cleaning done. Moved at a snail pace, I have to admit.

Sorry about your tech issues, I can sooo relate to that.

Just took a shower after cleaning the kitchen floor, and I think I'm up for a nap soon...

I have Planet Earth on TV in HD, it''s a fabulous show (in regular TV too).

Trying to decide wether to eat and sleep, or sleep then eat :confused3 Haven;t eaten all day.
Just wish DH and DD were back home already, I hate the thought of them driving for 8 hours. They are great drivers, but I always worry about the other idiots on the road.

Anyway, see you all later! :cool2:

Marita! I know exactly how you feel!
speaking of idiots- there are 3 of them speeding up and down my street on ATVs. One "driver" looks to be 7 or 8 years old. The others are teens. They are going to cause a huge accident.

Marita- get something to eat- you can't go all day without food!

Dre - Yes it was positive.

HaleyB and everyone else: Thanks so much for all your kind words and the gushing. Especially the gushing. ;)

Eeyore: I didn't understand your amnio story. Did you want it? Did your dr. want it? Did you want it but not after you found out about the needles? Did the Dr. mean that if the amnio said something bad about the baby that he WANTED you to abort? Nice Dr. Good for you to say buh bye.

Poly: No beach today. It was church for us. Then my parents came over for lunch.

I told my sister, she wasn't jumping for joy, but she didn't break down in tears either. Hopefully, her time will be soon. My parents were excited, but called us crazy. Which I totally don't understand since they had 5, and miscarried 5 babies. So, they're all into big families. I think it's because they're getting older and tired and can't imagine having to start over again. ;)

We didn't get back until 7! I carried the baby on my back(sling) the whole time, through the woods and in the sand/dirt. I am gonna sleep goog tonight! I bet I burned a ton of calories!

Hope you all had a nice weekend. It's beautiful here. I've enjoyed every moment.

Catch you later.

Hope your family gets home soon, Marita.

Hi, Haley! You're probably used to the nice weather by now.

Congrats to your DS, babynurse!

Wow, MommyP, it does sound like you burned a lot of calories! Glad things went OK telling your family about the baby on the way :cutie:

Sorry you didn't get to enjoy more of the day, poly. 80 degrees!!! It was beautiful here.

I went to the office to help a friend make up some bouquets for her office's administrative assistants - eight of them!!! :flower3: We had to go out to pick up some more flowers because we didn't have enough, so I picked up a vase with yellow roses to leave on my secretary's desk. We rode around with the top down on my car for a while, too, just soaking up the sunshine.

We also stopped and had a late lunch before heading back to the office to finish the flowers. Kind of strange being in the office on a Sunday - it was SO quiet. All in all, it was a nice afternoon.

Uma, your siggie looks goog!

I'm in compliance now...I got the heads up, then I "fixed" it but didn't SAVE my changes...DOH! Made Webmaster Doc laugh!

My siggie looks tidier now. I like it. Simplified.

Poly-- your are right. Nicholas always has the biggest smile on his face when he serves.

Went to Toys R Us today and go the kids new bikes. We told them they were early birthday presents. Guess it is a good thing now that hubby worked on Friday night.

Spent the rest of the day at the inlaws tryng out the new bikes.

Babynurse-- Congrats on your sons win. Love the Mommy P family!!

UMA -- you look all tidy just like Marita house....

Moo-- I just learned two things about you tonight. You have a car that you can put the top down and you have a secretary. I'm sure she will love the flowers.

I'm sure I mentioned my car before. We had some kids pull up beside us today while we were out and about and say they didn't know that there were PT Cruiser covertibles. It was pretty funny!

Guess I should have said "our secretary instead of "my" secretary! She works for a bunch of us, but I have learned over the years to pamper our secretaries - that way, they hardly ever get ticked at me when I have a rush!!! ;)

PT cruiser, cool. The nice weather brought out the old cars, motorcycles and convertibles today.

She is still is technically your secretary.

Quiet tonight.

Cute puppy.

That is going to be one big dog!! What's it's name?

Awwwww, what a sweet puppy, Moo!! Yep, looks like he will be big!

BN, congrats to your son, fabulous!

Family made it home safely a litle while ago, thank God! And yes, I got my cleaning done, Nab. Took a late nap and now I am watching DH, which I missed most of, but luckily it's on the tivo schedule automatically.

Sounds like most everyone had a pleasant day (sorry about your troubles, Poly)

Hi ALL! Just for the record...I did not log on while Celery was out of town...I'm sorry to those of you who worried about her. I usually work LATE when she is out of town...mostly because I don't like coming home to just the puppies and the Guinea Pig.

The baby stayed in the hospital last Monday and has been going back daily for bilirubin level checks. thus far...all is well! He's grown half an inch already....and is down to 7 lbs and 12 oz.
