Open an online checking and get free money

Anyone ever open one of those online checking accounts just to be able to get the free money? I saw an advertisement today for Chase and you would get 100 bucks back after five debit card transactions. I just wonder if me and my husband both could get one and get 200 bucks.

i've done it...with ing. but ended up keeping the account..

I've done it with ING as well but I was planning on opening the account with them anyway (that was 10 years ago and I still have it). I won't use a debit card so I personally would never open an account for free money if it required a debit card issuance. Not worth the lack of security to me.

Can me and my husband both get one each? I see one for ING but it was for only 50 bucks. But if we could each get one of these that would be 300 bucks worth of free money for our trip.

We already have a Chase account, but have seen advertisements similar to these.
The only thing is, they've always required the debit card transactions AND direct deposit. Does the one you saw? I always thought it is too much of a hassle to both change the direct deposit, and change our automatic payments.
