Oops... she did it again..... again

Oh my Goodness :scared1:

Look at that poor baby's head :sad2:

So slumped and unsafe.

What is the matter with Mrs. Federline? She should have to take a parenting class.

:confused3 I would. That poor baby :guilty:

Didn't we all grow up with forward-facing seats, though? Isn't the rear-facing trend relatively recent?

I feel like people are being a little harsh on her. She's not the brightest bulb on the planet, but at least he's in a seat.

Baby safety recommendations change all the time. Just look at the which-position-should-they-sleep-in thing. Back, side, tummy.... what is it now? :sad2:

My babies were all very big and passed the 20 pound mark looooong before their first birthday. Our pediatrician always made it very clear to us that it is 20 pounds AND 1 year.

I know she probably loves her baby and thinks she's being safe with him strapped in that car seat, however that poor baby looks so uncomfortable and unsafe in that car.

While she may not be breaking the law, I don't know why someone with that much money and clout can't get someone to help her out with these kind of things where her child is concerned and get her to install a proper fitting proper sized carseat for her child.

I've had my *duh* moments where my son told me as we're driving down the highway that I didn't buckle him in right - and mistakes happen - but she just seems to invite criticism for her *apparent* lack of concern for her infant son's safety and well being.

Alright folks, let's stay on topic. :teeth: Don't let tmt martins distract you with that heavy comment. :rotfl:

Yes don't
All I was saying is for what she puts her self out there as > A porn star in a schoolgirls outfit SHES ON THE HEAVY SIDE.

I don't judge people just the way they act and she acts like a 100# girl in a 180# body thats all.

I don't go around acting like I'm Brad Pitt thats all.

People don't look in a mirror when your true reflection is in what you do.

She's one step away from MJ having to go elsewhere to live her POOR JUGEMENT lifestyle.

At least Paris and Nicole have it right in just having DOGS but sometimes I don't even think they deserve them

That's one change I was SO glad I missed. I think they were just starting to talk about babies sleeping on their backs when my youngest was little. My kids were huge spitter uppers. I would have a very difficult time feeling comfortable about putting my kids to sleep on their backs. And haven't they said now that it ISN'T always a good idea? I thought I heard that, but I don't pay much attention to baby stuff anymore...I'm in the college/high school/middle school mode now.

Well, as a mom of 3....all of whom have made it through the car seat years unscathed....ages 16, 14 and 11............I can say that I can not begin to count the times that I have looked in the back of the car to see my kids in similiar positions. Did anyone ever look at a sleeping child in a car seat and see them in that exact position? Lord knows I have! My oldest hit over 20 lbs at 5 months old and was moved to a larger car seat simply because he not longer fit in the infant (rear facing) seat. I did prefer the car seats with the "over the head" lap bar (Evenflo Ultara) rather than the harness. They always looked uncomfortable to me. Now...as far as the top down and no hat.........can we say sunburn??!

Good grief. Give the girl a break. When I had DD, I had her car seat facing forward in the back. I even put it in the front passenger seat on occasions. Before everyone goes nuts, I didn't have a passenger side airbag. At that time, there was nothing that said car seats in the back should be facing the rear. I wish people would give Brittney the chance to learn to be a good parent without being under a microscope. I know I made plenty of mistakes along the way. I'm sure glad no one was watching me as close as people watch her.

Perfectly stated and I agree!

At this time, however it is very clear about rear facing infants. No excuse there!. When you know better, you do better. So either a person doesn't know better or does know better and just doesn't care!

I agree with you! My DD has always been both tall and heavy. By the age of 7 months there wasn't a rear facing seat that she could fit in! So it was front facing or nothing! At the age of 5 she still slumps forward if she falls asleep in the car - it's one of those things that is almost impossible to stop happening. I've tried all the neck pillows and whatever but she still slumps forward.

When I saw the photo I could just see a child who was very like my DD! What worried me more was the open top and no hat TBH!!!!

Honestly, at this point I think they are bordering on harrassing her.

I really do not care for BS, but give me a freakin break. My God, how would we all do under such a microscope? For all we know, her own pediatrician might have told her he was safe that way. I dunno.

I do think following her around in a helicopter does NOTHING to ensure the safety of her son.

And we all know that a McDonalds cheesebuger, fries and a soft drink are not anything children should have for a meal...but has that stopped anyone?

Every day, every meal? Not the same.....

Most nutritionists would recommend it NEVER being a childs meal.

It's is the same thing because we know it is not nutritious, yet call it a meal.

I was just going to post the same thing. My oldest was too big for the infant seat at 7 months and I put her in the bigger seat and faced it forward. I understood it to mean that once the baby was 20 lbs they could face forward. Now, 12 years later I have come to understand that it is 20 lbs AND 1 year old, but I had to look to several sources to be clear about this. To be honest, I think the instructions about the whole 20 lb/1 year old thing are very confusing even today.

Then there were the times that I forgot to buckle up the infant seat (when I used it without the base) and was toodling along the highway with the infant seat just loose in the FRONT SEAT (no airbag)! Yikes! God was sure watching over us that day!

Give the girl a break. We should all be such perfect parents that we could survive all the scrutiny that she gets.

Ok, how about that the leading cause of death in children under 8 is traffic accidents, not death by McDonald's. Ar you banking that your infant will not be in an accident? Not me. Better safe than sorry. It's the BABY that will pay the price.

What bothers me is that this isn't the first time she's done something like that. The other photo is of her driving with him on her lap! :sad2:
