Oops - Just went bananas and booked a 3 night stay in a suite in the NY hotel!

It was almost 4 times as expensive than the hotel I already booked (Explorers).

Since we have two children at age 2 and 4 I could not resist the thought of the following benefits:

- walking distance to the park
- EMH
- VIP Fatspasses!!
- Charachter breakfast at the hotel

Also the fact that I feel it is essential to have a seperate bedroom so we can stay up an have some "mum and dad"-time after the children are put to sleep, influenced my choice.

I am not sure if I have done the right thing, it feels like an enourmous amount of money to spend on a 3-night stay.

Please cheer me up, so I can stop regretting what I have done

These were the very reasons that I was going to book on-site rather than off site, however for me it was a simple choice of cost. It was (to me) better to save the money on the accomodation (please bear in mind that my accomodation has cost me £48 for 5 nights ) and to then be able to spend the extra money on gifts etc while at the park. We are talking my 16 month old son with us so the above was important however based on the fact that he probably won't last from 10-7 he certainly wouldn't last from 8-7!

All in all if you feel happier being onsite then it's the right choice for you.

Had I not have got my £48 holiday we would have booked the Cheyenne in November at £388 for the 3 of us (all in one room though)

Make sure you take lots of photos so we can all see whether it's worth booking!

How wonderful, expensive - Yes, but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

All I know is that a standard room at the DLH Castle Club was the same price as the suite at the New York Hotel.

Actually I am not quite sure. The booking guy said that it was a "new" suite and that it was 61 square meters and had a seperate bedroom. I tried to find a similar suite at this link: http://www.drpbusiness.com/uk/pdf/Suites_Nwy_an.pdf , but could not find it. I phoned back and he told me once again that this was a new suite that has been available since june 2008 and are therefore not on the website yet.
