Hi Mary,

Did you guys figure out was wrong with your grill yet? We just ran out of propane in ours. :(

That's great that you and DH get to go on a cruise! Woohoo!:Pinkbounc It sounds like a lot of fun!

I hope your DH gets the promotion.::yes:: Let us know how that works out, okay?

Take good care of you, Mary and have a wonderful Sunday!

Good luck on your DH possible promotion. Your so lucky that he gets job perks like the cruise. Sounds like you have been doing wonderful on your diet plan. Keep up the good work.

Kristin

Hi Mary,
Good luck to DH. I hope he gets the promotion, and enjoys the job. I understand how you feel about leaving Thomas. I know the 1st time I left Katie I was a mess, but it was a great thing for my marriage. It won't hurt to ask your Mom to watch him.
Beth

Hi Mary,

Wishing your DH all the luck with the promotion.

Hope this week goes well for you! ;) I hope this week to check in more regularly then last week.

Ooh, I have to run to bed. I didn't realize how late it was getting. I hate having a Monday to look forward to!

Here's hoping your husband gets the promotion. I know what you mean about leaving the kids. I have such guilt. I have done it, just a few weeks ago but I left the boys with my husband. Now I am leaving on Friday with my oldest for 6 days. I feel soooooooooooooo guilty about my little one I could cry. It will be good for our oldest though. I wish my husband could go too (and the other kids as well) but he has to work so this is a little bonding time with just my oldest son. It will be good for him to make him feel special. I will just miss, miss, miss the other kids and my husband.:( That sounds like a nice trip with just you and your husband. Some reconnecting time. I say go for it. Especially if it is on the company.;)

I ate too much this weekend- nothing really bad- but I will be diligent about being OP M-F.
TOM is on the way and I did manage to avoid a strong peanut m&m craving last night. Somewhat proud of that.

Creepy neighbor (CN) is now scheduled to move out by Aug. 31- I don't really believe he will though. He was supposed to go June 30, then negotiated with landlord and then it was July 31, and now of course he has bought himself another month.

The other tenant in the house has told us that the landlord has skin cancer and many other health problems and is having a difficult time. Now I am conflicted about whether or not to continue my campaign to pressure the landlord. My next move involves the health dept. and MDEPA regarding peeling paint that may contain lead on the exterior of his house. This is terrible but I the landlord is so slimy I wonder if these 'health problems' are just a ploy to keep us from making his life more difficult. He has been so dishonest with us I wouldn't put anything past him. If he is truly suffering with cancer, boy am I a witch (or rhyming synonym) for suggesting he might be lying. But I have no way of knowing.

DH says we should wait until Sept 1 to go through with our next move (the lead paint thing) I kind of feel that we should proceed as planned but I will have to pray and reflect about it.

Sorry for the LONG post. Hope everyone is off to a good start this beautiful Monday morning.

Hi Mary:wave:

I am sorry to hear that your landlord is being unreasonable and that your neighbor is still there. We'll be saying prayers that this man will choose to leave your neighborhood.

Way to go avoiding those M&Ms! That is something to be proud of!::yes::

I hope you have a wonderful start to a fantastic week Mary! Take care!

Hi Mary,

First, congratulations on resisting those M&M's. You should be proud of yourself.

As for the CP. Reflect and pray. You have a legit complaint with the paint. Use it if you need to. You may want to let your plan slip to the other tenent. He may let the landlord know what your next step is, and actually get the guy out. What ever you do, i will be praying for you.
Beth

Hi everybody- Tom arrived this morning and now my chocolate cravings come complete with inner voices. Give me strength.

Thanks for the suggestion, Beth. I think I am going to send him a pamphlet (anonomously) about a landlord's legal responsibility to register his property with the EPA. I have to go downtown to pick up the pamphlets today. I hope that lights a fire under his butt and prompts him to kick the guy out.

I am going to go back to the beach for a few days. I am so bummed that school will be back in session in less than 3 weeks. I want to make the most of it. My kids are such nice people to be with. I wish we had more time.

Mary, beach-time is always sooooo relaxing!!! I can feel my toes in the sand as I type this, the warm sun, the breeze off the ocean, the smell of salt water, the sounds of the waves and the gulls......thanks for my mini-vacation!! :sunny:

In a day or two, staying on plan with your food will be much easier - once those inner voices leave! I hear them too!

Best wishes on the creepy neighbor / slimy landlord problem.

Hope you have a wonderful day!! :sunny:

Hi Mary

Fairly new to the boards and wanted to say HI!! Glad to hear you are hanging in there ......My Tom is coming to visit next week and I am already feeling the cravings. In for a long week.

Hope to talk to you soon
Linda

Hi Mary,

Hope the pamphlet works. Enjoy the time at the beach.
Beth

Hi everybody-
I got back from the beach a few days ago. We had a great time. My weight is up:( but that is no surprise because I haven't been doing anything OP for about 2 weeks. I am looking at this back-to-school time as a chance for me to have a fresh start. I'm determined and my routine will be much more consistent now that school is starting- so that will make it easier.

I will try to get caught up on everybody's journals soon.

Hi Mary:wave:

It's good to hear from you! I'm glad that you had a great time at the beach. Sounds like fun!:sunny:

I think this back to school time can be a fresh start for you. Since you will be settling into a routine over the next few weeks, that may help get back OP. I know you can do it, Mary!::yes::

Have a great weekend!
