Oops I did it again! WHY MUST I YOYO!!!

Thanks Beth-
I drank some milk and had white pizza and applesauce for dinner. I have been eating everyday but only once a a day. My mouth is improving - I am pretty sure I will be back to normal by tomorrow.
I'll report after weigh in.

Wow- I lost another 2.5 pounds- that brings me to 14 pounds total. I didn't lose this weight in a healthy way at all and next week I wouldn't be surprised to see some of it back on the scale. I will try to be good and keep it all off.
Mary

I started this plan on April 5- that is about 6 weeks ago. The scale says I am down 14 lbs but I can't tell. My clothes are slightly looser I guess. I am not in different sizes. I would think 14 lbs would be a big difference. Is this normal?
My biggest problem area is my stomach. Having babies did a number on my tummy. As I get closer to my goal weight (around 128) I think I should start trying to tone those muscles. I am wondering if any ab program would work for me or if I am just stretched out beyond repair. I will post this question on the main WISH board too.

Mary, I've been away from your journal too long - so much going on! I'm sending you extra    !!

Your daughter looked beautiful in her pictures! I'm glad it was a special day for her!

Your breastfeeding stories made me laugh! Breastfeeding didn't work out for either of my kids (1 month for DS, 1 week for DD) so I don't have any advice but I'm sure you'll find a way. Maybe you can put some icky smelling or tasting stuff on you so he'll wean himself???

My son was diagnosed with ADD in 3rd grade. We spent 6 months trying every alternative to medication. In the end, my baby was coming home from school crying almost daily because his social skills were not appropriate and he couldn't keep friends because he was so impulsive and his test scores were very erratic. In the end, we did use Ritalin for him. He said that it slowed down his brain so that he could think before he acted. He's 16 now and off the Ritalin - we've worked very hard on coping skills and social skills. It wasn't an easy decision, Mary, but my son was becoming so unhappy that the benefits outweighed the risks. Best wishes for whatever you decide - follow your heart and you'll know what path is right for your son. If you want to chat about it, feel free to PM me.

Sounds like you'll be at Disney the same time we are! It also sounds like you really NEED the vacation! It will be here soon!

 and :sunny:

Thanks Doreen-
I am almost certain that we will need to try medication for my boy-I am trying to hold off as long as I can because he eats nothing and I am afraid if the meds suppress his appetite he might just disappear. My daughter also has add (just inattentive) and she uses concerta on school days and it is very helpful. It does have some negative side effects but it is worth it for her.
We are leaving for Disney on June 16 and staying 5 nights. The 1st two nights at Hilton at DD, and the last 3 nights at POFQ.
Yes- I need this vacation- I am dying to get away from this neighborhood for a while.
I better stick to my Weight Watchers like glue until I leave for vacation because I know I will bring back a couple pounds as souveniers- I always do.

Goal for tomorrow- get back on plan- I have been irresponsible with eating for 2 days. Also I will try to catch up on everyone's journals.
Good night all:)

Been back on plan for 2 days now- Things are going okay.
I am consumed with my neighbor trouble and I am stressed and I have not been excersising for a week. Plus I have some added little stressors like DS's ADHD, DD is having chronic uninary infections and has to have some invasive tests done, and I am WAY sleep deprived. So many bad things going on, I have to take time to stop and be thankful for all that is good in my life- and there is so much good. I have been dealing with so many negative things lately that I have to stop and count my blessings to remind me how lucky I am.
I know my weight will be up from last week. I am not to worried about it considering I had barely eaten for 3 days prior to weigh in because I wasn't feeling well. I don't expect that it was an accurate weigh-in.
Adios

I hope it's of some consolation that the pedophile will surely never go near your children knowing how proactive you are being to protect them. They'll go after those children whose parents are less vigilant, so don't let your guard down for any reason.

My mother used to go to every game, practice, day camp, show up unexpectedly at school, and be involved everywhere in order to make her presence known for just that reason.

You should alert the local paper about the landlord to put more community pressure on him. He sounds like a real winner. He'll get his someday.

I'm saying some prayers and thinking of you.

Mary,
 for you today. You are certainly dealing with a lot right now. Please know that we will continue to pray for you and your family. I hope that you are able to get some quiet, relaxing time for you in soon. Take care, Mary.

I thought I had gained but the scale is holding steady so I am still at 14 pounds lost. I have been neglecting my program lately. It is time to get back on track. Today- I am back on the treadie and I am doing it every other day. PROMISE
Tomorrow night is my DD's figure skating show. (She is doing a syncronized ice-dance routine with other girls in her class) They are doing it to a song from Jungle Book and she has to dress like a cheetah. It is going to be cute. We have reservations for dinner at her favorite restaurant after so I am going to have to be careful there.
It is storming and pouring rain here and I am afraid I may lose power so signing off!
Mary

PS: my BMI is 23.8 -

Mary, hang in there girlfriend! What a stressful time! Sounds like your mouth is better now at least. I hope you enjoy your daughters dance recital. It sounds very cute.

I know exactly what you mean about the weight thing on the medications. My DS will be 11 the end of the summer and still weighs 55ish pounds. But he is growing some (feet are getting bigger, and he's getting taller), so the dr. keeps saying he's okay. He hasn't been on the growth chart hardly ever though (10th percentile at most). There really hasn't been much difference in his weight based on whether he's on meds or not.

If you want to bring the kiddos down for a relaxing day, let me know. There's alway nice breezes blowing down here. Of course, it's not as nice as WDW, but it's a lot closer too!

 Mary,

You have been dealing with a ton ofstress lately, and I'm very impressed by how well you are dealing with it. I hope you enjoyed your evening with dinner and the recital.
Beth

Thanks everybody.
We had a great weekend. Very relaxing. We went to the skating show- Bridget did great. I took the kids to see Shrek2, which was so funny. Also Joey had his scout campout (DH took him) he had a blast. And we did a good bit of swimming- it has been hot here.
My kids are LOVING the cicada plague that has swept our area. My son read a magazine article about them and he is a little expert. Even the baby likes the cicadas- he picks them up and gets his face real close to bug and he says, "hi" It is so gross. My son (7) calls it CICADAMANIA. It is pretty cool- they only come out every 17 years. The last time they were out I was 17- I remember them being out in full force on prom night. Before that- they came the year I was born. Next time I will be 50! Baby will be in college and my 2 big kids will be 24 & 25!
I have been very bad about my diet- I have been off plan about 50% of the days last week. I am back full force starting today.
Everybody have a great day
Mary:sunny:

Hi Mary,

I hate bugs. ugh. Looks like you had a busy weekend, glad you enjoyed it. Good luck today.
Beth

Mary, Bridget's ice dance routine sounds like it was so cute!! What precious memories these recitals will be - for you AND for her!

I haven't noticed the cicadas around here yet but maybe I'm just not paying attention! There are times when I'm happy to have less than perfect eyesight - I'm glad I don't have to see them! :teeth:

Glad to hear you're back on plan. I actually come home from Disney lighter, especially during these summer trips. It's so hot and we're outside so much that all I want is a cold bottle of water - no desire to eat a lot. :p

If you know of any specific things you'll be doing during your Disney trip, like a specific evening you'll be watching Illuminations or the parade at MK or a specific restaurant you'll be eating at, let me know and we can join you for a quick chat. I'd love to meet you! We'll be there the whole time you are.

Hope your day is happy and un-stressed! :sunny:

This is a rare mid-day post for me. I usually don't check in more than once every day or two.
I already did my treadmill (1.6 miles- was shooting for 2 miles but was so hot.) Well on my way to my water goal. Doing well with food so far. I ate a lot of sugary and fatty stuff this weekend so my body is having a little withdrawl/craving thing going on. That is why I am posting- just as a diversion so I don't don't go pillaging the pantry for pop-tarts or similar.
I went to the dentist this morning and the hygenist was a sadist- she kept jabbing my gums with the sharp little picker thingy. The good news is- no cavities!
Oh I did some water yoga while DS had his nap- it was so refreshing and relaxing. I loved it.
My 2 big kids are home from school and want me to take them swimming so I am signing off.
Good day all!

Way to go Mary!
Sounds like you are on the right track for the week. ::yes:: Dentist's visits can be scary, but you came out of it with no cavities. Woohoo!!! :teeth:

Have a great day!

Tracy:wave2:

Hi Mary,

Congratulations on no cavities. My biggest fear is dentists. I hope you enjoyed your swim with the kiddies. It counts as exercise too! Have a good one.
Beth
