Hi all,

I'd be really grateful for advice. We are planning a WDW vacation with two 2 year olds next year. We are looking at value resorts which are not included in the free dining offer.

I notice that the dining plan doesn't include under 3s (and that they can just share some of an adults meal). Are they also considered free if we don't get the dining plan and just pay OOP? E.g. At Crystal Palace etc. would we just be charged for adult meals?

Many thanks!

Hi, with any buffet or character meals you only pay for the adults and the little ones can eat off your plate or get a plate of their own. We have traveled twice now with under 3s. I also took a copy of their passports as a few times they had charged/credited for a child, I politely explained she was still 2 and they removed the charge/credit.

If you wish to purchase a child's meal at a regular restaurant this is fine or they can still eat off your plate.

Yes under 3's eat free onsite at the buffets and family style meals. For normal table service the Child can share with you, they will give you an extra plate or pay for a child's meal.

We took a two year old when we were on the ddp last year. Ordered them their own meal every time and even in non Buffett restaurants they quite often waived his charges given his age (stupid that a 9 year old portion is the same as a 2 year olds!)

Thanks so much for all your replies, that is so helpful to know! Great tip re. taking a copy of their passports too in case we're charged for them: our DS and DD will be 2.5 years when we travel so it'll help to avoid any confusion!
