OOP Costs & DDP? (confused)

Sorry if this is a stupid question. I've never done the dining plan before and will only do it for our trip in October because it's free.

Am I understanding this correctly - it looks like you get 2 meals a day on the DDP (1 QS and 1 TS). Does that mean you pay OOP for 1 meal a day? Or is the snack for a smaller meal during the day like breakfast?

On the regular dining plan you are allotted 1 TS credit, 1 QS credit, and 1 snack per person for each night you are staying at your resort. You get all these in a lump sum and you can use them any day and any time you want. It's up to you to plan your meals and which ones you want to use credits for. You can use your snack credits for a small breakfast if you wish. Many guests use a snack for yogurt or a pastry for breakfast and if you eat at your resort, use your refillable mug for a beverage.

You are not required to use 1 QS and 1 TS on each separate day.

You can use your dining credits however you like. We were on the dining plan for our previous trip and usually ate breakfast in our room. We brought along muffins, fruit, yogurt, cereal, and a box of pop tarts. Not the best choices, but it was only for a week, and I didn't want to pay for a meal each day on top of the dining plan.
