I just unpacked and realized I left my two little bathroom bags in the stateroom on Saturday ( Fantasy).
Everything was packed up in them, toothbrush, toothpaste, face creams, etc.

Would Henry,my stateroom host have thrown the bags out by now? Would they be returned to me??
The items were in two nice zippered bags, if that matters, not plastic bags.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to have them returned or should I just assume they're gone forever??????:confused3

I would call DCL and tell them that you left an item in your stateroom on X date on Y ship in stateroom Z. They have a lost and found. I am not sure on the exact procedure, but the person you speak with would be able to tell you the proper procedure to find out if your items are there.

Contact lost and found. It is in Orlando. After the ship returns THIS week, everything found on board LAST week is sent to Orlando. They'll send you an email if they find it.

I lost my prescription sunglasses, but they didn't find them.

Thank-you both VERY MUCH!!!

Took your advice- went to DCL site to get a general 800 number, called it.
Got what I believe to be the most absolute perkiest young woman ever. Sweet and incredibly PERKY!
She said they DO have a lost and found, and IF something is turned in,it's NOT thrown out.

She gave me the phone number & told me I'd probably have to leave a message, which I did.
She also gave me the e-mail address as a back -up which I will do in a few minutes.

Don't think anyone really wants my face creams, toothpaste, but I guess you never know....it's worth a shot to ask....

Here is the phone number - good to keep handy...

407-566-3734
Here is the e-mail address

dcl.lost.and.found.@email.disney.com

Not sure if I got all the "dots" correct....if it doesn't work,I'll remove the dot after "found", but I think it's correct.......

Thanks,again,for your help.
Just reinforces what I said in another post-Disney cruisers are the most giving and thoughtful travelers that exist!!!!!

Glad you spoke with someone who could assist you. I hope you get your bag and "stuff" back. :goodvibes

We realized as we were packing up on the morning we left the ship that my daughter (age 13) had no idea where her purse was. I was sure it was gone for good, but we stopped by lost and found on our way out (in the cruise terminal) and there is was! With her Kindle Fire still in it! Kudos to both Disney and the Disney passengers.

Good luck with lost and found! Last cruise my then 5 yr old dd left her twinkle toes on the pool deck. They were found and shipped to my house at no charge. Truly outstanding customer service!

I once left a Mickey Mouse fleece hoodie in our stateroom closet. By the time I realized, I ran back to the room & our SRH said he turned it in to his manager & to stop at lost n found. It wasn't there yet but they assured me it would be shipped to my home. I got a big box in the mail a week later.

Disney service is like no other! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 :goodvibes

My sister in law left her carry on bag on the sidewalk next to the Disney bus at the Vancouver Airport (think expensive camera, jewelry, etc....) - they were picking up a rental car and spending the day in Seattle before flying home. They didn't realize it until several hours later - DCL fedex'd the bag (at no charge) to them from Juneau - all intact. We love DCL!

Great reports here! I hope you get your bags back. All of Disney is great about lost items really trying to get them back into their owners' hands. Even little things--our DS took a Hot Wheels car to Flounders and when we picked him up, it was gone. We didn't even notice it, it was the CM who was apologizing profusely about having lost our car, and that he'd just seen it but had looked everywhere and couldn't find it anymore. We were like "We have about 500 of these at home, seriously, one less is doing us a favor" but he insisted on taking our home address in case it turned up later. We did not end up getting it back, thankfully, since we're overrun anyway :rotfl:.

On one of our cruises, I totally missed a drawer full of clothes! I didn't even realize it until we got home and there was a message from DCL telling me the items were found. They mailed them to us free of charge. Love Disney!!

Our stateroom hostess told us last month that after everyone leaves the ship, they take anything they find left in the rooms, mark them with the room number, and give to their supervisor. From there Disney is supposed to look up the guest's address and mail the item to them, all without being asked to do so. I don't know if that is true or not, but that's what she told us.
