Well football has taken over the house to my disliking, don't get me wrong i hope England do well very well.

But i'm fed up already, every match has been on, sorry a dig in my side, DH has siad he missed the Australia match.

I mean i'm missing the soaps, and most of important BB.

So if it is not DD with the disney channel, it DH with the football.

DH went into the bath and this was the only chance i got control over the tv, i know it is sad when all i could watch was hollyoaks.

Roll on 4 weeks. :thumbsup2

Anyone else fed up. :)

I understand watching the England match but why must i watch every other country, and they are not even in the same group.

I would go upstairs but we do not have a aerial, we watch using sky. :confused3

Try being in the US and doing this. We were up at 9am on Saturday after a late night and down at the rovers drinking Boddy's watching the game! Talk about getting an early start on drinking! Whew!

I know exactly how you feel! DH is watching every match he can and its driving me mad! I dont think we have had a proper conversation in 4 days now! Even worse is that the final is on my birthday and he keeps insisting we cant go out as he HAS to watch it!!

Yeah its on in our house aswell, although the computer is upstairs what I dont like, I like being downstairs where everyone else is

It's on in our house but I have to admit that I actually have it on during the day anyway!

From a 'blokes' perspective - I don't have any problens with the soaps although I do not watch them, but missing BB cannot be such a bad thing surely??

I love my football, but do agree that there is too much on TV and I have only watched a couple of the games so far, however the World Cup is only on every 4 years.
The problem you have is that it's being held in Europe hence the more reasonable kick off times.

I don't mind the football as such, but why does it have to take over everything. Here in Holland it's almost 24hrs a day. Pre match waffle, post match waffle, pre-pre match waffle. Waffle for the sake of waffling on about football - you get the picture.

As my company is one of the sponsors we even have a huge screen showing it in our company canteen....

And everything is orange... from the crisps to hawaii skirts (don't ask!)

I know how you feel. I am now a football widow.
I will watch England play but I will not watch the other countries just for the sake of it. Luckily I am re-painting our bedroom so that can be done whilst he is watching the match :artist:
David is off to Germany on Thursday and has asked me to record the match :happytv:
He will be watching it live so why he wants it on tape is anyones guess, I think it's so he can see if he's been on TV :lmao:
Any at least we all have Dis to keep us sane

I don't mind the football ~ DF watches in the lounge and I have the nice big television to watch all of my programmes.

I quite agree....yes follow the home team...and maybe even the rest of the group....but WHYYYYYYYYY follow the whole world?

Yeah hah I'm multi-tasking World cup and DISing

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: you girl!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Sounds like when they played in japan! I remeber being in the pub at 7am before going to work for the day!

yep...we were boarding but instead of having breakfast in the dining hall we had it in the main hall with a huge tv screen and all of the day pupils were invited to come in early and bring their own breakfast with them....pretty much the whole school turned out at like 7.30 in the morning to watch, it was cool

A love of football, after all it is called the 'World Cup'.

Many people will watch ANY footie on TV, despite loving the game I am not one of them but I do undertsand why they do it - every 4 years after all.

I watch as many as I can, especially if and when we get into the next group,

Lovely new pic of Joshua, Johnny :thumbsup2

but does that not throw loyalty issues into the mix....if you really cared about the team you're supporting surely you would watch them and only them? why boost tv ratings for the opposition?

I think my general problem is I can't understand how anyone could love watching 22 men, a referee and a couple of linesmen follow a ball around whilst trying to put it into a net.....give me any of the men individually off the pitch I say!

It doesn't matter whether it's ACCRINGTON STANLEY v. SOUTHPORT or BRAZIL v. ARGENTINA - football will always be watched on TV.

Just because your own team are not playing it doesn't mean you cannot watch and enjoy a game, often it is more enjoyable as you aren't as stressed!!
