Some of those would be great on my lists! Is it too soon to start lining up? Seriously, what we do for BF is, Thanksgiving night, DBIL and I sit down and plot our route--where we'll be at 5 am, 6 am, 7 am, etc. and what specific items we'll be getting. We split up if necessary. DH and my 17yo niece can come along, but DBIL and I are not afraid to ditch slackers if they can't keep up! So, I'll have to see what other specials are coming out--we'll all be at MIL's house, and Wal-Mart is in a different direction than most stores and the malls in her area.

After doing Black Friday the past three years, I swore I'd never do it again. The nastiness, rudeness, crowds, pushing, shoving, fighting and name calling aren't worth it to me in order to save a few bucks. There was a shoving match between two men over a stupid t.v. last year in Wal Mart - and didn't someone get trampled in a Wal Mart last year? I think me and my girlfriends are going to get up early, hit the nearest coffee shop, and watch the madness from a distance!

I think she ended up being a scam artist trying to sue but had a history of doing that type of thing.

I love it!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2:

I'll have to look at my old ads. I think some of these specials are repeats. However, some stores do this. Target has had some of the same things going on on Black Friday for four years now!

There was a video now promotion that was big last BF at one of the big box stores last year. I think it was a different case or color, but that was a BF promo last year.

I know last year Walmart did a fondue pot and I don't see that this time. I also saw those Hummers out in the aisle when we were there. It is interesting.

That hummer would make a great present for my nephews too and only $20!

I don't think it was at Walmart, but I may be wrong.

I usually save the ads, my spreadsheets, store maps, and shoppoing lists from year to year to compare and contrast the sales by checking the trends.

I want to say I think the Video Now was at Target. Target has had the Leap pad on sale for $25-27 lately.

My mom's friend goes to Walmart every BF, so we usually have her get a couple things (if she can get them without a hassle). My Dsis and I usually do TRU, but when they stopped the price matching last year, we started out at KB Toys, then hit TRU and walked right in (with plenty of available carts) right at thier 6am opening! I think we hit like 6 stores by 11am last year!! WOO HOO

Does anyone know if TRU will still NOT be price matching? I would think they HAD TO have lost out on that deal last year.

It was a candle powered fondue pot for 4.24 and I got one for myself. ;)

Well I usually go to the stores the day before Thanksgiving. If you go late enough (I've had the best luck at Target), just before closing you can see the overnight crew coming in and setting up the BF items. I then pencil sketch out the the new items as well as the areas of the stores where I want to go.. and plan a route. Like electronics, toys and housewares first, and then inner perimter, outer perimeter...

Wow, that's a good idea, Cindy B! Now I know what DBIL and I can do that evening! Heck, it beats hanging around listening to his mother!

I've also found that, at least the K-Mart near MIL is open on Thanksgiving, and has some of the items out and on sale that day. I'm not a big K-Mart fan, but I will make the quick jaunt to check (odds are, I'm picking up milk or sour cream or SOMETHING anyway!).

My favorite find still has to be the LL Bean rolling backpack for DS8. There's an outlet near MIL's house, opens at 8, 30% off everything until noon. The backpack was originally $49, I got it for $7! In NH--no sales tax!

Droolings a laptop computer for 400.00 dollars my price. I know where i be going on Black Friday Wa-mart.

me too! I wonder what time of night I would have to be there to get one!?!?!

We'll have to see about some items. If I was thinking ahead, I'd print out this list, and compare it to the actual ad later on.

I broke my digital camera and have my eye on the Kodak Z760 normally $299.96 at Walmart. On sale for $199.99 black Friday would be a dream come true. I am drooling.
