Oooh, I wanna complain about her so bad!

I seriously doubt that the TV station will fire her because you call and say you don't like her.

They get calls every day from nitwits who don't like this or that person and feel they must alert the TV station to their personal preferences. You'd just be added to the list.

If it will make you feel better than just complaining on the DIS, go ahead and call.

:rotfl:

I think she is HILARIOUS!!!! The rap was pretty bad but the others were pretty good. I think if she was a guy it would be a okay but since she is an attractive female people are not comfortable with her in your face humor. I say more power to her and I hope she goes far. We need more women like this on t.v.!!!!! So what if she talks about her pants being tight cause its her time of the month......it's life. Get over it!!!! Good for her!!!!

Likely why she's still on the air.

When I don't like a specific TV reporter, I don't watch him or her, but I live in the New York City broadcasting area, so that may give me more choices than the OP's area.

I can't get over that Al Roker got a show on the Weather Channel. (I've said this on a few Dis threads already.) It's not that he's obnoxious like this Jennie chick. I just like to watch good-looking weather men on TV, and Al is anything but good-looking.

We should re-title this thread "Jennasis vs Jennie". :goodvibes
Considering paychecks/careers of the two, and public followings on both YouTube & the actual news program, Jennie definitely wins hands-down. Good for her! :thumbsup2

That is most likely just a character she plays for the show only, and not her actual behavior. At least I should hope not. :scared1:

Usually awkwardly and inappropriately. For a small sample check out her reaction to the kid named Adolf Hitler..watch the guy anchor and how uncomfortable he is with her rant.

Both anchors seemed very uncomfortable with her rant. And nice way to interrupt the female anchor who was speaking.

I would call.

It seems to me that the people producing this programming think that people like these "performances." They have basically devoted a YouTube channel to Jennie and seem to encourage her antics. Maybe she does have a following but I am willing to bet that there are many more people like the OP who find her to be offensive and obnoxious.

I don't understand how she is still on the air. I expect morning news personalities to be a bit zany. But she goes over the line, in my opinion. In the Hitler video, she actually referred to the people in the news report by a degrogatory name. In another video of her stomping grapes, she tells the anchor to "Shut up and do the weather." It wouldn't matter if she were a man or a woman, this sort of behaviour is unprofessional and painful to watch.

I've seen this chick on tv when I was down in Greensboro visiting my sister. I watched her squeeze her ta-ta's on live tv one morning. I thought she was so tacky! She tries too hard to draw attention to herself, she comes off as fake. I can't see how how her co-workers actually sit there laughing. The one blond anchor seems annoyed, you can tell she's bitting her tounge. I've always wondered exactly what this chick does to keep her job. My guess is she has bad knees, and an lots of back pain. But that's all I'm sayin':rolleyes1

Our local NBC affiliate has a doozie of traffic reporter. This chick fancies herself a budding comedian (she does improv comedy with some local group). She is NOT funny. She cavorts around every morning making a total fool of herself and is an embarassment to the station. Thank God for DVR because I fast forward through all of her nonsense. She's actually made many offensive jokes. Add to that that she dresses terribly and has the self-carriage and social grace of "Lisa Lupner" from Gilda Radner's days on SNL.

I cringe everytime she's on. She's a joke. I'm no Scrooge so if the station management thinks she's doing a bang -up job, who am I to argue otherwise? Anyone else driven batty by their local stations "stars"? Or even the national network folks?

...I've got 3 words:
KATHIE LEE GIFFORD.....:headache:

Some people try too hard for attention and end up saying really off-color things without considering how it comes across.

^Prime example.

Like mentioned before, this is all more than likely just her act. On one of the other boards, we were discussing Stacey from the Disney Visitors Info channel in Orlando. The hyperactive character you see on TV is not the same person as Stacey in real life. While this Jennie lady is a bit more extreme to say the least, she is probably just the same-- normal like the rest of us off screen. The same can be said for Stephen Colbert's "character" on Comedy Central's Colbert Report.

If it is too too offensive, then by all means call and complain. They may even offer *you* her job. ;) Or better yet, start your own news program and do a better job if this isn't what you find fitting. Nobody here is standing in your way!

I saw the clip not a big deal to me. I would rather have someone who had a personality. Then someone who was stiff and monotone.
