Well there's been pictures posted showing Mim's stage where Ernesto was last year. Hopefully they have only moved him because the area did have too many bottlenecks.

Ticketless here. But have DVC villas for the Weekend (Sat and Sun Oct 7-8). Need some confidence boosting that going to front desk in the morning of check-in will secure OBB tix. Please those with recent experience chime in!

I am so excited for this! I love Disney's scavenger hunts but have never done the Hallowe'en one and the pumpkins always look so cute.

There's not much of a description, but it looks like it might be pumpkin sippers?

Pasting in my reply from a page or two back on this thread (this was October 2021, Columbus Day/Indigenous People’s day weekend):
I asked at check in because we had planned to be at MNSSHP at WDW that week and had to make a last minute change to DLR. She said to come to the front desk at 5am the day-of. I went down at 4:45am and was the third family in line. They took my room keys, park tickets and credit card. They had a hand written list in order that we showed up that morning. At 5am on the dot, the CM started typing on a computer and calling up families in the order that we signed up. They printed the tickets out for OBB right there. They said there were a "very small" number of tickets which were shared by all 3 onsite hotels, and it was first come, first served. So hope your CM has quick fingers. There were about 15 families in the line, and they announced that all would likely not get tickets that morning. I did not stick around after we got ours, as I hopped back in bed!! I had called DL and the hotel several times in the 1-2 weeks leading up to the trip to try to confirm if same day tickets might be possible, and no one would give me a definitive answer until we actually checked in and asked that CM. So it is risky to count on it, but we were going on the trip either way, so it was a bonus that we got the tickets!

We had tickets already. Ask in curiosity since we were there already and staying the nights.

Thank you so much @nalabear and @twodogs , I went back and read everything from the last 3 pages. My immediate family is a party of 5 for a 1-BR deluxe villa in the DVC wing at VGC the night before OBB. I am hoping that it will be easier and less people trying for them at VGC.

The twist is that I need two additional tickets for extended family. I do have VDH rooms (A duo studio and a standard deluxe studio) reserved for the day of the party with their names included on the reservation. I wonder if I need to goto the front desk in the Fantasy Tower at DLH or can I just try for the extra two at VGC (total of 5+2=7)? I suppose I'll need to ask when I am on site, but feel free to speculate.

I would venture that CM at GC will be able to help that morning. It would be insane/cruel for them to make you walk to DH at 5am. Give them the 'are you serious?' dad look if the CM tells you that when you inquire at checkin to confirm.

Since you already have tickets, you may want to reach out to disneyland tickets ahead and inquire on accommodations -- you never know when pixie dust gets sprinkled.

Well, VDH was greenlit by DW so who am I to argue! Hahaha. She made a strong point, saying the price won't get much better over the years, and pointed to how we missed the boat on $100 pp VGC way back in 2009 (long story click here).
Apologies for the confusion. I don't have the extra tickets yet. Just going off your and @twodogs' advice. Planning to get tickets for my VGC group of 5 since we check in the day before OBB. Also looking for input on adding two more tickets for extended family for OBB day (under the VDH reservation on the day of OBB).

My guess is if maleficent doesn’t return or is moved Ernesto would fit well in that back corner where she was. Maleficent in my fave though so I hope she returns.

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party had info about their limited items about 3 weeks before the first night.

No not weird. Oogie Boogie Bash has a lot less items than Not so Scary, both merch and food wise.

I only remember a pin or two (not even Limited Edition but limited Release) and a Spirit Jersey
