Sorry if this has already been answered in a previous thread, I've searched and cannot find anything.

If I do an OBB on my upcoming cruise can I transfer it over to DU at a later time?

If you used a Travel agent for your current cruise, when you do your onboard booking, they'll ask if you still want that person listed. I believe that is the easiest way to do it to ensure that you'll get onboard credits from your TA as well as the OBB benefits. Not sure what happens if you transfer it later--it CAN be transferred, but I don't know what benefits you might get at that point from your TA.

Geomom has it mostly correct. If your current cruise (the one you are taking while making the OBB) was booked through a TA, then they will ask if you want that same TA on the future booking. If so, they will do it there. If not, you must say "no" and just make the booking direct. Then transfer it to DU once home. If the cruise your doing the OBB on was not booked through a TA, you can designate them at the time you make the OBB.

I believe with a transferred reservation the TA OBC may be less than if you had designated them to start with.

JAs noted, if you booked a cruise thru a TA this time. they will ask if you would like to use that TA for the one you are making. If not, be sure to transfer the booking to a TA within 30 days.

Oh, and a transferred reservation must be done within 30 days of making the reservation.

That is the same for the certificates, correct? Does the 30 days start from when you put down the $250 or when you move it to an actual cruise date?

30 days starts from the day you make the reservation on-board, from what I understand.

PERFECT!! This is exactly what I want to do!! Thank you!!

This means you can combine the OBB Credit and the DU credit correct?
