About the Toronto Zoo call and make sure the exhibits are open as I went with my daughters school and a trip and ALOT of the exhibits werent open and I said I would have been really mad IF I paid all that money to get it and not be able to see most of everything as certain animals werent out as their areas were being redone
Was this just recently?

I'm a zoo member and go all the time. The kids went to Zoo camp, and it's a great place. They have a huge kids' splash area, kids' zoo, shows in the theatre, Dinosaurs' alive area.
The only pavilian currently under renovation is Australasia. It's getting a kind of Nemo-like fish tank and will be open later in the Fall. You can still walk through it though - to see birds, some fish, and the red kangaroos. The regular kangaroos and emus are still outside.
I only mention this because on our last trip, we went to the San Diego zoo which is known the world over. It was a pretty little zoo, but doesn't compare to ours at all. We sometimes take for granted that our own attractions are world-class.
FYI, you can get a pass to the zoo for only 85 airmiles, and under 4 is always free.
That being said... to the poster. Unless the 15-year-old has a huge liking for animals, I would think he would be bored in that outing. I think teenageers need a little more action
